Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire improving run flat durable performance remarkably higher than that of the conventional run flat tire. SOLUTION: A pair of large thickness rubber strip 8 of crescent-shaped section are provided in an inner surface of a tire 1, and a filler rubber 9 consisting of rubber composition equal to the hard reinforcing rubber strip 8, extended to a position to a tire equator surface from a width end of the minimum width cord layer of a cord crossing layer of a belt 7 from a bead core 5 between turn up/down plies, is provided. In a region surrounded by a straight line in parallel to a tire rotational axial line passing through a maximum width position of a carcass ply and a normal lowered down to the lowermost side turn up ply outer surface from the minimum width cord layer width end, a thickness da of the reinforcing rubber strip 8 measured in a thickness direction of the same position is a thickness db of the filler rubber 9 or more.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition with improved heat resistance and a tire with improved durability using the same by incorporating a compound having plural ester groups in the molecule and controlling the variation in the dynamic storage modulus of elasticity within a specific temperature range below a specific value. SOLUTION: This composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component such as natural rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber or the like, 0.1-20 pts.wt. of at least one compound having at least two ester groups in one molecule selected from di(tetramethylolmethane)pentamethacrylate, di(tetramethylolmethane) trimethacrylate, trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate and the like as a deterioration inhibitor and proper quantities of crosslinking agents, crosslinking accelerators, softening agents, reinforcing fillers or the like, and has a variation in the dynamic storage modulus of elasticity of 3.0 MPa or lower at 170-200 deg.C. This deterioration inhibitor is incorporated into a rubber composition for a rubber reinforcing layer of a side wall portion of a tire or for a bead filler and is effective to improve durability of the side wall portion in particular.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which maintain a feeling of ride under vibration and which has enhanced run-flat durable performance. SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire has a pair of thick, reinforcing rubber strips, whose sectional form is of crescent shape, inside the tire. The tire is provided with an annular projected part, which is on the inner peripheral surface along the outer peripheral part of a flange, leaving a gap between the flange and itself when a carcass is fitted to an application rim so as to bring the internal pressure of the tire to zero. In addition, the form of the innermost carcass ply in the cross section of the tire, compared with the natural, equilibrium form of the innermost carcass ply when the tire is inflated under the pneumatic pressure corresponding to 0.75 to 1.00 times the pneumatic pressure corresponding to the maximum load capacity of the tire, should be as follows: (1) maximum width position M should be located more inside in the radial direction of the tire than the maximum width position Mp of the natural, equilibrium form. (2) for the more outside region in the radial direction of the tire than the maximum width position Mp, position M should be located more inside the tire than position Mp.
