    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable highly precise control of a combustion flame without disturbance of a combustion flame, by measuring temperature distribution in a flame in non-contact manner. CONSTITUTION:In a plurality of positions in a combustion flame, spectral analysis is effected by a light detector 10, and vibration spectrum of the obtained OH is calculated to find temperature distribution in flame. A storing circuit 12 stores temperature distribution in flame measured under an optimum combustion condition. A comparing circuit 13 compares temperature distribution in flame at a present point of time, which is outputted from a computing circuit 11, with temperature distribution in flame under the stored optimum combustion condition, and a difference therebetween is outputted to a control circuit 14. The control circuit 14 inputs an output from the comparing circuit 13 to decide a proper control command to a control drive part and output a command as a control signal. The outputted control signal is fed to a control place to perform control of flame into an optimum combustion condition.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce unburnt parts and nitrogen oxide by providing an evaporation region wherein fluid within atomizing fuel sprayed by an atomizer which atomizes slurry fuel is evaporated, between the atomizer and a furnace. CONSTITUTION:Slurry fuel 2 is blown out into a mixing chamber 6 through a nozzle 3, and mixed with vapor 4 injected from a vapor injection hole 5 and put into an atomized state. Further, the slurry fuel 2 passes through a through hole 7 and injected into an evaporation region 10 in the form of a mist-like atomizing fuel 15. The atomizing fuel 15 is supplied through a high temperature region 17 to the furnace 18. High temperature air of above 300 deg.C is supplied from a primary slit 11 toward the atomizing fuel in the vicinity of the through hole 7. High temperature air of above 300 deg.C is supplied from a secondary slit 12, between the inner surface wall of a sleeve 8 and the atomizing fuel 15 so as to evaporate the water content which has not been evaporated by the high temperature air, is further evaporated. As a result, nitrogen oxide and unburnt part can be reduced.

Two pressure detecting signals 100 and 101 are inputted to a pressure computer 91 in a control means 9, a difference in pressure between slurry and heated steam is found by the computer 91, a difference signal thereof is outputted as a control signal 200 to monitor it by means of an alarming lamp 93, and interlock for closing a pressure regulating valve 33 is effected. This increases the pressure of slurry, and enables steam to be inhibitted against production from slurry.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce production of unburnt content in ash and NOX in exhaust gas without increasing the size of a device, by a method wherein unseparated and separated pulverized coal are conveyed by gas, composed of mainly the air, and combustion exhaust gas, respectively, to inject it in a furnace.
    CONSTITUTION: Pulverized coal 1, conveyed by the air, is fed through a start conveyance pulverized coal pipe 2 to a cavity 3 where a part thereof is separated from an air current by the action occasioned by reduction in velocity of flow and production of eddy current and is stored in a hopper part 22 at the lower part of the cavity 3. After unseparated main fuel pulverized coal consisting of relatively fine particle is conveyed, as it is, through an unseparated pulverized coal coveyance pipe 20 by means of an air current, it is injected in a furnace 19 through a main injection nozzle 5, and is burnt under contact with a secondary air and a tertiary air injected through a secondary air injection nozzle 15 and a tertiary air injection nozzle 16. This enables reduction in production of unburnt content in ash and NOX in exhaust gas without increasing the size of a device.

CONSTITUTION:When the supply of pulverizied coal - water slurry (CWM) is started, an atomized fluid 7 is first caused to flow through a purging fluid valve 4 is then opened, the purging fluid is supplied to a nozzle tip 9, a CWM passage 6 is washed, and simultaneously, the CWM passage 6 and the nozzle tip 9 are cooled.
