    Abstract: A motor drive unit adapted for use with a camera having a motorized shutter speed adjusting device. When a continuous series of frame exposures are to be made at a predetermined frame frequency, the set value of shutter time in the camera is made to be compared with the longest possible shutter time dependent upon that frame frequency by a comparator provided in the motor drive unit. When the actual shutter time value exceeds the longest possible one, the motorized shutter speed adjusting device is actuated, causing the shutter time value to change itself to the longest possible value.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent noises due to air sound when a rotary polyhedral mirror is rotated at a high speed by providing the inside wall of a cover for covering the circumference of this rotary polyhedral mirror with a plurality of annular peak-shaped projections. SOLUTION: The annular peak-shaped projections 3 which are sound absorption means having a special sound absorption effect are disposed on the inside wall of the cover 3. The peak-shaped projections 13 are formed in a plurality to an annular shape in the circumferential direction of the inside wall of the cylindrical portion 3a of the cover 3. The cross-sectional shape of the respective peak-shaped projections 13 is a peak shape and sound waves repetitively come into collision against the slopes thereof, by which the energy of the sound is successively annihilated on the principle similar to that of pyramidal projects disposed on the inside wall of a so-called acoustic chamber. As a result, the sound absorption effect of the cover 3 is increased and the noises due to the air sound when the rotary polyhedral mirror 1 is rotated at a high speed are lowered. Then, even if the number of revolutions of the rotary polyhedral mirror 1 exceeds 30,000 rpm, there is the sound absorption effect by the inside wall of the cover 3 provided with the peak-shaped projections 13 and, therefore, the scanning optical device of the silent running sound may be obtd.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To correct an actuator without causing an arc motion of the actuator by driving the base end part of an actuator-holding composite parallel plate spring in the direction orthgonal to the tracking direction of the actuator in response to the motion of the actuator set in its tracking direction. CONSTITUTION:When a current is supplied to a tracking coil 4, a composite parallel plate spring 2 is bent by an actuator with the current of the coil 4 as well as the magnetic flux of a magnetic circuit consisting of an inner yoke 8, a magnet 9 and an outer yoke 1. Thus, the seeking direction of the spring 2 moves forward or backward. Under such conditions, the actuator 1 tries to have an arc motion in the direction tangential to a rail 17 by the flection of the spring 2. Thus, the irradiating distribution to a sensor 6 with laser varies owing to the inclination of the actuator 1. Therefore, a difference of output is caused between two areas. Basing on this difference signal, a drive means is controlled and a current is supplied to a correction coil 12 for actuation of a carriage 11. Therefore, the spring 2 whose base is connected to the carriage 11 can correct the inclination of the actuator not allowing to take arc locus, to make the actuator 1 move straight.
