    Abstract: PURPOSE:To print out both a binary data and a multi-value data with an optimum density by varying way of set of picture elements so as to revise the print density and revising the density independently of the binary data and the multi-value data respectively. CONSTITUTION:A mixture data 151 comprising a binary data and a multi-value data is stored in a page memory 102 for the binary data and in a multi-value memory 103 for a multi-value data respectively via an input control section 101. Then the binary data is converted into serial information and the result is sent to a density conversion section 222 as a data 261. The data 261 is a binary data in which its high level is printed in black and its low level is printed in white. Moreover, the multi-value data is subject to density revision processing by a ROM 223 and the result is converted into a data 257 in a ROM 205 based on an input gradation data.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent deformation of an image caused attended with an increased resolution by providing a means revising the resolution of printout and a means disabling a smoothing function when the resolution //is increased. CONSTITUTION:A print data whose resolution is 600DPI is generated by a read control section 6 and a resolution controller 11 gives a command to an image forming section 12 to set the resolution of the print process system to 600DPI. When the image forming section 12 is, e.g. a laser beam printer, the resolution controller 11 sets the rotary speed of a polygon, the paper carrier speed and the laser spot system in matching with 600DPI. Thus, a transmitter in the resolution controller 11 generates a bit image transmission clock corresponding to 600DPI and sends the result to a parallel serial converter 9. Since a stop command signal is inputted from a main control section 4 in the smoothing circuit through a signal line 16, no smoothing processing is implemented to the picture of 600DPI. Thus, the picture is printed out in a way that a deformed picture is prevented.

CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a plotting area is initialized. When print data is inputted from a data input part 3, the patterns of the character and the graphic, etc., with modes magnifiable and reducible to arbitrary size are deformed and reduced with a matrix system, and conversion from a reduced pattern to a printable dot image is performed. Furthermore, a converted dot image is plotted on the plotting area on a RAM corresponding to a coordinate in which a print coordinate in unmagnified print is multiplied by S, and is outputted from a print part 7 via a print part interface 6. For example, in the print of a printer that becomes the target of emulation, data to be printed in size of 12 point on the coordinate (100mm, 100mm) is reduced to the one in size 10 and 7 point with the above operation, and is printed on the coordinate (89mm, 89mm).

Since all the transistors 204-211 are turned on, an error indicator lamp 104-5 and all the display segments (a)-(g) are turned on. Thus, it can be informed to an external part that the fault occurs in the CPU.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance the output speed of image data, by utilizing a memory for storing unused color data as the auxiliary buffer of indicated color data when the output by colors less than the number of colors possible in output is indicated. CONSTITUTION:At the time of monochromatic printing, a change-over signal 25 is set to a low level and an AND circuit 27 is closed while an AND circuit 28 is opened and the output of a parallel/series converter circuit 16 is outputted to an image forming part 12 from an OR circuit 26. A predetermined amount of the code data of a page memory 2 is subjected to pattern development to be stored, for example, in a dot pattern memory 6. Next, when a drum rotation indicating signal 29 is outputted to the image forming part 12, the feed of paper is started and, at the same time, a predetermined amount of the code data of the page memory 2 is stored in other dot pattern memory 7. When a reading indicating signal is outputted to a reading control part 8 and the reading of the memory 6 is finished, said reading is altered to the reading from the memory 7 from the next time and the writing to the memory 6 is performed. By this method, when printing by colors less than the number of printable colors is indicated, by utilizing the buffer of a not-indicated color, a printing buffer is effectively utilized to make it possible to increase a printing speed.

When the program in the ROM cartridge is being executed, control is transferred to a control program stored in a program ROM 3 incorporated. Next, a cartridge interface part 5 is disenabled by setting an enable signal 10 to 'H', whereby ROM cartridges 6-9 are disconnected from a system bus, with the result that a power source for the cartridges 6-9 is also cut off. Accordingly, the ROM cartridges 6-9 can be detached without switching OFF the power source.

When the detection signal 21 becomes ON, it is checked whether a control program in the ROM cartridge is being executed. When the program in the ROM cartridge is being executed, the control is transferred to a control program stored in a program ROM 3. A cartridge interface part 5 is disenabled by setting a signal 10 to 'H', whereby the ROM cartridges 6-9 are disconnected from a system sub, and a power source for the cartridges 6-9 is cut off. Accordingly, the ROM cartridges 6-9 can be detached without turning OFF the power source.

The driving timing of a paper refeeding roller is controlled in accordance with the signal 9c. Moreover, the degree of expansion and contraction of the recording paper is calculated by comparing the signal 9d with the pre-fixing pattern distance stored in the internal memory of the main control section 3 and the frequency of a frequency signal 12a supplied to a readout control section 6 and parallel-serial converter 7 and the revolving frequency of a motor for scanning are changed.

That is, when the paper 1 deflectively moves to the right side, a quantity of light incident to a photo converter element 103 is decreased, and a current generated in this element 103 is decreased. Accordingly, output voltage of a detector circuit 43 is decreased lower than output voltage of a potentiometer 27, and output of a comparator 45 becomes a signal of positive voltage, while a signal of positive voltage is input to a driver circuit 46, and a motor 26 is rotated forward to the direction of an arrow head 34, then a unit 11, having fixing rollers 18, 19, is turned to the direction of an arrow head 31. In this way, a transfer picture can be fixed by a pair of fixing rollers 8, 9, and the displacement of the paper 1, held and conveyed, can be corrected.

CONSTITUTION:An RAM 201 is stored with the state of registration and sequence of registration in 8 types of digit codes, and an ROM 202 is stored with the sequence of registration of digit code in the lower-order 3-bit. When a 16- bit code is inputted, the upper-order 13-bit outputs a 8-bit to the ROM 202 via the RAM 201 and outputs 13-bit to an adder 203. The ROM receives the inputted lower-rank 3-bit and the 8-bit of the RAM 201 and outputs the 3-bit data. The adder 203 adds the 13-bit in the RAM 201 and the 3-bit in the ROM 202 to obtain a data 207. Next, in a pattern memory, pattern information is obtained with an address corresponding to the data 207. The input codes which are discrete at first are converted into consecutive codes.
