Abstract: A paper feeding unit for a printer, copier or the like is specified which can be removed from the printer, copier or the like and does not require an electrical connection. The unit has a lifting plate for reception of a large number of sheets of paper placed on it, transfer rollers for transferring the paper sheets, a lifting motor for vertical movement of the lifting plate, sensors for detecting the position of the lifting plate, the format of the paper, the absence of sheets of paper etc., and a microcomputer for controlling the time it takes to transfer the sheets of paper. The unit makes continued copying or printing possible without frequent interruptions for refilling with paper sheets or because of the erroneous detection of an abnormal operating state.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the image processing system for executing the image retrieval/display of image data at a high speed which is compressed hierarchically. CONSTITUTION:A computer 10 having a storage device 15 and a display device 16 is connected mutually through a communication channel 1 to a computer 20 having a storage device 25 and a display device 26. An image control program 12 controls image compression data 151 in the storage device 15. The image compression data 151 is compressed, and divided into level 1 compression data 1511, level 2 compression data 1512 and level 3 compression data 1513. An image processing program 13 obtains a store position of the image compression data 151 corresponding to an image A through the image control program 12, reads out this data from the storage device 15, stores it temporarily in a buffer 14, expands it and obtains image data and displays it on a display device 16. As for the whole image compression data 151, its detail image 161 is displayed on the display device.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To decide the justice of a document element by storing a code generated from the document element adding punctuation information and from a password. CONSTITUTION:The document preparer prepares the document through the use of a console 1 and stored it in document data 21 of a memory 20 as a file. Furthermore, the document preparer inputs a document element name 32 and the password 31 and keeps them in the memory 30 together with the tag and contents 33 of the document element. A ciphered character string 32 is generated from tag and contents 33 and the password 31 and is ciphered so as to generate a code 35 for confirming justice. The generated code is registered at the designated position of document data 21, is permitted to be document data 22 with the code for confirming justice and is kept in the memory 20 as the file. When the document is confirmed, the code for confirming justice 35 is newly generated concerning document data 22, is compared with the code taken out of document data 22 and is judged to be justice at the time of coincidence. Thus, it is confirmed whether the document is rewritten or not after it is prepared.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To decide whether a document is rewritten or not by storing a code which is generated from respective document elements constituting document data and from a password at the time of preparing the document. CONSTITUTION:A document preparer prepares and edits the document through the use of a console 1 and stores it in document data 21 as a file. Furthermore, the password 31 of the document preparer is stored, the document element taken out of document data 21 and the password 31 are stored as a document element + password 34 being a character string in a row. The ciphered string is stored inside a main memory 30 as a code for confirming justice 32 and is stored in document data 21 in accordance with the designated document element. When the document is confirmed, the code for confirming justice is newly generated from the contents of the objective document element and the password 31, is compared with the code for confirming justice corresponding to the designated document element and is judged its justice at the time of coincidence. Thus, it is confirmed whether the document is rewritten or not after it is prepared.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To show an approximate straight line when a sample point set out of a position range is inputted by using a means which calculates previously the position range where conditions are satisfied for linear components even with addition of one point following a partial string of a sampling point series of characters, etc. CONSTITUTION:Coordinate values given from a coordinate input device are successively inputted to an input terminal 100. A vector forming means 104 outputs a displacement vector ranging from a start point to an end point via delay circuits 101 and 103. While the start and end points are also inputted to a linearizing range calculating means 106 for definition of a key line for linear approximation. Then a direction range is calculated for decision whether the following input point is equal to a position serving as the same linear component or not. This decision is carried out by an out-range deciding means 105. If so, the calculated range is added the end of the string of values held by an FIFO 108. A switch 107 outputs an O-input direction range in an in-range state and then an I-input direction range in an out-range state respectively.
