    Abstract: PURPOSE:To uniformly print recording data on a desired region in proper quantities, by indicating a printing region from a recording scanning body prior to executing printing processing. CONSTITUTION:When a range indicating key 17 is pushed down, the content of the counter CNT on an RAM 16 is initialized and it is judged whether a trigger pulse is outputted from a trigger pulse generator 15 and, when the trigger pulse is generated, the content of the counter CNT on the RAM 16 is renewed by '+1'. Subsequently, it is judged whether a range deciding key 18 is pushed down and, when said key 18 is pushed down, the printing count number stored in a printing quantity register DOT is subtracted from the count value stored in the counter CNT to again register the obtained count value in the counter CNT and the stored count value is divided by the number of the characters stored in a character number register 1 to set the calculated value to the counter CNT. Subsequently, the content of the counter CNT is added to a character interval register (n) to store the obtained value in the character interval register (n). Therefore, the character/marks corresponding to the text registered in a region to be subjected to printing scanning are arranged uniformly and can be printed in order.

CONSTITUTION:In a printer conducting printing on a recording paper by scanning and driving a printing head, the following means C1-C3 are provided: a paper size detection means C1 detecting a recording paper width A in the scanning direction of the printing head; and area detection means C2 detecting a maximum width B in the scanning direction of the printing head in a printing area defined by the layout of characters and symbols to be printed; and a discriminating means C3 discriminating whether a position at which a printing head is at a halt can be determined as a printing start position on the basis of the output from the paper size detection means and the area detection means.

When they coincide, a difference in the number of bytes of store areas to be replaced of the main storage part and the auxiliary storage part is decided, and if the storage area of a replacement destination is smaller, the store area of the main storage part is increased by the number of bytes whose replacement is scheduled. Subsequently, a data part 42 of the auxiliary storage part 4 is transferred to the data part 61 of the main storage part 6, and the table 5 is updated.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable a selected pattern to be printed in a designated direction through a simple operation, by a method wherein when printing a pattern selected from a pattern memory, the selected pattern is printed by a printing- controlling means based on a designation by a printing direction designating means. CONSTITUTION:A keyboard part 1 comprises a cursor keys 1c for designating a moving direction for the position of a printing head or a printing direction in, for example, a fancy rule mode, selecting keys 1d for designating a fancy rule pattern, and a vertical/horizontal key 1e for designating a 90 deg. rotation of a printing pattern. The cursor keys 1c consists of a rightward key, a leftward key, an upward key and a downward key. A CPU 2 accesses a RAM 3 or a character generator (CG) 4 for generating a character font pattern, and displays a desired character or figure pattern on a display part 5. A head 6a of a printer 6 thus the printing head up or down, a carriage motor 6b moves the printing head horizontally and a feeding motor 6c feeds a set paper in vertical directions.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the efficiency of a work for regulating the color according to user's preference by subjecting a photographic data at a part of designated range to color processing through switching to selected color parameters and effecting printing based on a resulting print data. SOLUTION: A RAM 12 has an area PHD for storing a photographic data, an area BUF for storing a print data subjected to color processing, a table CTB for storing color parameters being used for color processing selected from the table of an ROM 11, and the like. Modification of photograph, enlargement/contraction and color regulation range can be indicated by means of a mouse 16. In color parameter selection mode, hue and brightness to be selected are indicated and color parameters identical to indicated print samples are set in the CTB and used for color processing in subsequent print operation. In color regulation mode, color processing is conducted by setting the CTB with one predetermined candidate of color parameters and a print data is stored in the BUF of the RAM 12. A printer 2 prints out a data transferred from an interface 10 sequentially.

A user operates an air conditioner 5 and a washing machine 6 or the like only by a telephone call from outside and he can know the results of operations altogether by checking the execution report of the PHN1. Thus, the equipments 2-6 are operated at the united time in the system because the built-in clocks the equipments 2-6 are set to the time of the PHN1 everytime when the operation commands are sent to the equipments 2-6 or at a preset time even if no command is given.
