    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil having a primary spool with great adhesive power between a high-tension side end part and a resin insulating material. SOLUTION: The ignition coil is provided with: a housing; a primary spool 3 that is arranged in the housing and has a high-tension side end part 35, a low-tension side end part 36 and a primary winding part 37 that is interposed between the high-tension side end part 35 and the low-tension side end part 36 with a primary winding wound; a secondary spool that is arranged in the housing approximately coaxially with the primary spool 3 with a secondary winding wound; and a resin insulating material that is filled in the housing to secure the insulation between each of the members. The primary spool 3 is provided with an adhesive member 38 comprising an adhesive resin having great adhesive power with the resin insulating material and an exfoliative member 39 comprising an exfoliative resin having the smaller adhesive power with the resin insulating material than that of the adhesive resin.
