Abstract: The present invention relates to advanced telephone answering equipment, also called a call centre, and to a particular type of message intended to be received by the call centre. The message includes information intended for a receiving person and a machine code intended for the call centre. The message is edited by a sending person, such as to divide the information and the machine code in different blocks. The receiver can cause the call centre to present the information in the message in a desired manner, i.e. in the same way as a caller can be presented with information from a call centre at the present time. The structure in which the message can be presented has, however, been made possible by the sender in the editing or formulating process. The machine code is, for instance, transferred as a DTMF-code.

Abstract: The invention enables efficient management of messages in a communication system. A messaging center ( 100 ) generates, in response to reception of a request message from a first user ( 200 ) and intended to a second user ( 300 ), transaction information. This information is stored in a database ( 180 ) together with an identifier of the first user ( 200 ). A temporary address is generated based on the transaction information and an identifier of the center ( 100 ). A second request message including the temporary address is transmitted to the second user ( 300 ). Due to careful choice of the temporary address, the second user ( 300 ) may easily transmit a response message to the center ( 100 ). Upon reception, the center ( 100 ) extracts the temporary address from the response message and extracts the transaction information from the address. Then, the identifier is retrieved from the database ( 180 ) based on the transaction information and a second response message is transmitted to the first user ( 200 ) based on the retrieved identifier.

Abstract: In a network for locating a user in e.g. a cellular telecommunication system (100) where location information is available to locate a particular user and multiple sources (110) of location information are available, the location information from different sources for each of the users is of different kinds and resolution. Among the currently available and valid location information for a user, the most recent location is first chosen as the preferred location information "L" indicating the probable location of the user. Then the valid locations are determined that have a higher resolution than the information "L". If there is no conflict with the information "L" the location information having a higher resolution will be selected. Each user has a software agent (130), which controls access to the location information and which performs the selecting of the probably true location information. It can receive location information through location services (120) converting location information from a set of sources. The selected location information can be forwarded from the agents to receiving services (150) through coordinating services (140).
