Abstract:
A telecommunication system for bidirectional data transmission of a data set between a data transmission device and a data reception device via at least one packet-oriented network device, which includes encapsulation of the data set to enable a connection-oriented data transmission of the data set; connection-oriented transmission of the encapsulated data set by means of at least one mobile telephone from the data transmission device to a base station of a mobile telephone network; evaluation of the data encapsulation protocol in the base station for an unpacking of the data set to enable a packet-oriented data transmission of the data set; and packet-oriented transmission of the data set from the base station to the data reception device.
Abstract:
A mobile telecommunications terminal is provided, which makes possible, so as to use the least possible amount of power, a query of messages present for the mobile telecommunications terminal in a telecommunications network. The mobile telecommunications terminal includes a receiving device for receiving messages from the telecommunications network in a receive mode. At the mobile telecommunications terminal, a query mode can be established, in which a control unit, in the event that the receive mode is switched off, activates the receive mode at least one first predetermined time. The control unit checks whether, within a second predetermined time period after the activation of the receive mode, information was received in the receiving device regarding at least one message present in the telecommunications network (10) for the mobile telecommunications terminal.
Abstract:
A communication system in which a communication service client unit specifies a criterion, with further communication service client units which meet the criterion being able to be participants in a communication service which is provided. A server unit is configured to produce a list of the further communication service client units which meet the criterion and to transmit the list to a communication service server unit which provides the communication service.
Abstract:
A slave station and a method of regulating the transmission power of a master station are described, which permit an estimate of the signal/interference ratio in a transmission system without sending a pilot sequence, the transmission power being regulated as a function of an estimate of the signal/interference ratio. In a transmission system, in particular a CDMA transmission system, useful signals assigned to different communicating subscribers are separated by orthogonal codes. A useful signal assigned to one communicating subscriber is derived by using one of the codes from a signal received at least in the slave station from the master station and is compared as a reference signal with the received signal to estimate the signal/interference ratio.
Abstract:
A method for estimating memory-enabled transmission channels, having the following steps: determining a first estimation ĥ of the pulse response of the transmission channel; estimating the additive interferences of the transmission channel; and correcting the first channel estimation while taking into consideration the estimation of the additive interferences. The first channel estimation is performed using a matched filter or a least squares estimation.
Abstract:
A method and a device for synchronizing data-transmission devices, in which devices a data signal is transmitted in the form of a stream of data bursts between a first station and a second station. A reference signal is transmitted in connection with the specific data burst. In a first step, a first reference signal is sent from the second station to the first station. In a second step, a channel estimation is carried out in the first station based on the reference signal received from the second station. In a third step, the first station sends to the second station a data burst predistorted on the basis of the channel estimation. In a fourth step, the first station sends to the second station a second reference signal altered on the basis of the channel estimation. In a fifth step, the second station synchronizes the data burst on the basis of the second reference signal.
Abstract:
A method for receiving radio signals in a mobile station, and a mobile station for sending and receiving radio signals are proposed. The method and the mobile station have the aim of correcting predistorted code-spread and phase-modulated radio signals with respect to a phase error. In this context, in the receiver of the mobile station, the phase is determined for the radio signals, in order to carry out a phase demodulation, and the phases are mapped in a preselected phase zone and averaged, in order to formulate therefrom a phase correction factor, by which the code-despread radio signals are multiplied in order to correct the phase error. The method according to the present invention therefore improves the data detection of the received radio signals.
Abstract:
A method is provided for transmitting a short message in a telecommunication network to a number of communication stations, wherein address data for the transmission of the short message to more than one communication station are transmitted with a short message, wherein a first header information item is transmitted with a number of data fields in the data section of the short message, each data field including the address data of at least one communication station, and in the second header information item, which is arranged preceding the first header information item, the address data of a first communication station or the network unit are transmitted.
Abstract:
A detection method in which a CDMA-coded data signal is transmitted in the form of a data stream of spread data bursts between a transmitter and a receiver, hierarchical CDMA codes being used for the transmission. In a first step, codes having a smaller spreading factor than a maximally to be detected spreading factor are detected. In a second step, codes having a larger spreading factor than in the previous step are detected, the detection results of the first step being taken into account. In a third step, the detection process is broken off if all codes are detected, or otherwise the second step is repeated with the detection results last obtained in each instance, until all codes are detected.
