Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a first downlink control information (DCI) in a first slot. The first DCI may include an indication of a first quasi co-location (QCL) reference. The WTRU may receive a second DCI in a second slot. The second DCI may include scheduling information for a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission. The WTRU may receive the first PDSCH transmission in accordance with the first QCL reference indicated by the first DCI received in the first slot and in accordance with the scheduling information for the first PDSCH transmission included in the second DCI received in the second slot.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for performing random access (RA) in 5G New Radio (NR) systems, including New Radio in unlicensed spectrum (NR-U) systems. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a configuration for physical random access channel (PRACH) resources. The WTRU may determine whether to use a first type of PRACH transmission or a second type of PRACH transmission. For the first type of PRACH transmission, the WTRU may select a PRACH resource, without performing listen-before-talk (LBT), immediately following reception of an synchronization signal block (SSB). For the second type of PRACH transmission, the WTRU may randomly select the PRACH resource associated with the SSB, and perform a first LBT on the selected PRACH resource. The WTRU may transmit a PRACH preamble in the selected PRACH resource. The WTRU may perform a second LBT for random access response (RAR) reception for hidden node detection.

Abstract: Methods and systems for transmitting uplink control information and feedback are disclosed for carrier aggregation systems. A user equipment device may be configured to transmit uplink control information and other feedback for several downlink component carriers using one or more uplink component carriers. The user equipment device may be configured to transmit such data using a physical uplink control channel rather than a physical uplink shared channel. The user equipment device may be configured to determine the uplink control information and feedback data that is to be transmitted, the physical uplink control channel resources to be used to transmit the uplink control information and feedback data, and how the uplink control information and feedback data may be transmitted over the physical uplink control channel.

Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a unique word-error check (UW-EC) encoded signal. A pre-decoder data check entity may check for errors based on EC bits and systematic and parity bits from the UW-EC encoded signal. If an error is not detected at the pre-decoder data check entity, data without an error may be signaled to a source decoder without channel decoding.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting uplink control information (UCI) for Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) using carrier aggregation is disclosed. Methods for UCI transmission in the uplink control channel, uplink shared channel or uplink data channel are disclosed. The methods include transmitting channel quality indicators (CQI), precoding matrix indicators (PMI), rank indicators (RI), hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgement/non-acknowledgement (ACK/NACK), channel status reports (CQI/PMI/RI), source routing (SR) and sounding reference signals (SRS). In addition, methods for providing flexible configuration in signaling UCI, efficient resource utilization, and support for high volume UCI overhead in LTE-A are disclosed.

Abstract: Methods of mapping, indicating, encoding and transmitting uplink (UL) grants and downlink (DL) assignments for wireless communications for carrier aggregation are disclosed. Methods to encode and transmit DL assignments and UL grants and map and indicate the DL assignments to DL component carriers and UL grants to UL component carriers are described. Methods include specifying the mapping rules for DL component carriers that transmit DL assignment and DL component carriers that receive physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), and mapping rules for DL component carriers that transmit UL grants and UL component carriers that transit physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) when using separate coding/separate transmission schemes.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described. A long term evolution (LTE) base station includes a transmitter and a processor. The transceiver and the processor send, to a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), an indication of a first set of subframes associated with a first power control parameter and a second set of subframes associated with a second power control parameter. The transceiver and the processor further receive a data transmission, from the WTRU, having a power based on at least one of the first power control parameter and the second power control parameter.

Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) receives a downlink subframe having multiple component carriers, each component carrier having control information encoded in a physical data control channel (PDCCH). The WTRU performs a blind decoding of control information in a first PDCCH located within a first component carrier to obtain a location of a second PDCCH located within a second component carrier, where the location of the second PDCCH is relative to a location of the first PDCCH as control channel element offset. The WTRU decodes the second PDCCH at the obtained location.
