Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mixed powder with which a sintered body having both excellent machinability and drill cuttability can be obtained.SOLUTION: The mixed powder for powder metallurgy is obtained by mixing iron-based powder, powder for an alloy, powder for improving cuttability and lubricant powder. The powder for improving cuttability includes powder capable of forming an SiO-MgO amorphous phase or an SiO-MgO-alkali metal oxide amorphous phase and an oxide phase including SiOor magnesium oxide (MgO). Examples of the powder for improving cuttability includes enstatite powder, talcum powder, kaolin powder, mica powder, water-granulated slag powder, magnesium oxide (MgO) powder, and mixed powder of SiOand MgO. Further, the powder for improving cuttability may be blended with metal boride powder and metal nitride powder serving as hard metal compound particles and MnS and CaFserving as soft metal compound particles. The sintered body produced from the mixed powder has a base phase in which a soft metal compound phase having a hardness lower than the average hardness of the base phase and a hard metal compound phase having a hardness higher than the average hardness of the base phase are dispersed, thus having excellent cuttability including both excellent lathe cuttability and cuttability.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mixed powders for powder metallurgy which can obtain a sintered compact combining excellent machinability and drill cuttability. SOLUTION: Metal powder is mixed with powder for an alloy, powder for improving cuttability and lubricant powder. Preferably, the powder for improving cuttability is composed of soft metal compound powder and hard metal compound powder, and the blending amount of the hard metal compound powder is controlled to 0.01 to 0.5% and the blending amount of the soft metal compound powder is controlled to 0.01 to 1.0% in mass% to the total content of the metal powder, the powder for an alloy and the powder for improving cuttability. Preferably, the hard metal compound powder is made of metal boride powder, and further, among metal borides, one or more selected from TiB 2 , ZrB 2 and NbB 2 are used. Besides, the soft metallic compound powder can be illustrated by the powder of talc, enstatite, kaolin, mica, fluorite, water-granulated slag or the like. The sintered compact produced from such mixed powder is made into the one having a structure, into the base phase, the grains of a soft metal compound having a hardness lower than the average hardness of the base phase and the grains of a hard metal compound having high hardness are dispersed, thus having excellent cuttability and combining excellent machinability and the cuttability. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft magnetic metallic powder having excellent magnetic flux density and compressibility and also having high insulation properties. SOLUTION: The surface of pure iron powder in which the whole face or a part of the surface is provided with iron oxide is coated with at least one insulation layer selected from among oxides, carbonates and sulfates, further, the surface thereof is coated with a silicone resin layer, and the surface of the pure iron powder and the insulation layer are fixed by bond strengthening treatment. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide metal powder for a dust core in which high insulation properties are maintained even when, for increasing the electric resistance between each powders, the amount of insulated coating applied to the surface of the powder is remarkably reduced or is made zero, and thus both of high saturated magnetic flux density and high electric resistance are improved. SOLUTION: Pure iron powder having grain size of 10 to 500 μm and purity of ≥99 mass% is heated to the temperature range of 600 to 1,000°C, Si is concentrated on the surface of the pure iron powder in the above temperature range by vapor phase reaction, the average Si concentration in the depth range from the surface to 1 μm of the concentrated layer is controlled to 0.05 to 2 mass%, and thereafter, an Si oxide layer with a thickness of 1 to 500 nm is formed on the surface of the powder by oxidation treatment. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powdery mixture for powder metallurgy which can provide a sintered compact having excellent machinability and drill cuttability in combination. SOLUTION: A metal powder is mixed with a powder for alloying, a powder for improving machinability and a lubricant powder. Preferably, the powder for improving machinability consists of a soft metal compound powder and a hard metal compound powder, and as for the blending quantity thereof, by mass% based on the total content of the metal powder, the powder for alloying and the powder for improving machinability, that of the hard metal compound powder is controlled to 0.1 to 0.5%, and that of the soft metal compound powder is controlled to 0.01 to 1.0%. As the hard metal compound powder, metal nitride powder is used. The metal nitride is preferably composed of one or more kinds selected from TiN, AlN and Si 3 N 4 . On the other hand, as the soft metal compound powder, the powder of talc, enstatite, kaolin, mica, fluorite, water-granulated slag or the like is exemplified. The sintered compact produced from the same powdery mixture is made into a sintered compact excellent in cuttability wherein the grains of the soft metal compound with a hardness lower than that of the average hardness of the base phase and the grains of the hard metallic compound with a high hardness are dispersed into the base phase, and excellent machinability and excellent cuttability are combined.
