Abstract: A display device includes a first light shielding part provided between a filter film and a first electrode, and a second light shielding part provided on a second substrate. Abstract: To prevent dark unevenness at the corner portion of a screen, a provided is a liquid crystal display including a first pixel formed with a pixel electrode at a first angle in a Y-direction, wherein the pixel electrodes of top, bottom, left, and right adjacent pixels to the first pixel are at a second angle in a Y-direction. The absolute value of the first angle is equal to the absolute value of the second angle, and a sign of the first angle is opposite to a sign of the second angle The rotation direction of a liquid crystal when a voltage is applied to the pixel electrode is in the opposite directions between the adjacent pixels. Thus, it is possible to prevent ions included in the liquid crystal from flowing on the peripheral portion of a display region to prevent dark unevenness at the corner portion of the screen.

Abstract: The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device including: plural pixels disposed in a matrix shape, each pixel having insulating wall-shaped structures at the boundaries of the pixels and a small wall-shaped structure between the wall-shaped structures; wall electrodes, each having wall-shaped electrodes formed on the side faces of the wall-shaped structures, and planar electrodes that are connected to the wall-shaped electrodes and extend in the planar direction; electrodes, each having a TFT-side electrode covering the small wall-shaped structure and a storage capacitor electrode that is connected to the TFT-side electrode and extends in the planar direction of the substrate; and interlayer insulating films formed between the storage capacitor electrodes and the planar electrodes. And the interlayer insulating films of inorganic films are not formed on the upper and side faces and at the base portions of the wall-shaped structures at the boundaries of the pixels.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a TFT substrate, a CF substrate, and a liquid crystal interposed between the TFT substrate and the CF substrate, and drives the liquid crystal in a horizontal electric field. The TFT substrate includes a recess, and the CF substrate includes a columnar protrusion. The protrusion of the CF substrate is fitted to the recess of the TFT substrate so as to function as a stopper for preventing a positional gap between the TFT substrate and the CF substrate.
