Provided is a data transmission system using a vertical layer optimisation technique. A data transmission device predicts the buffer state of a data receiving device by using feedback information of a physical layer, and controls data transmission by referring to the predicted buffer state. The data transmission device can control the transmission of first data and second data such that the buffer state of the receiving device is within a preset range.

A method and an apparatus for maintaining information security in a video multicasting service are provided. The method includes: generating a network abstraction layer unit using received video information; encrypting the network abstraction layer unit of the video information; realtime transport protocol (RTP) packetizing the encrypted network abstraction layer unit of the video information; recording unit format information and field information, included in the network abstraction layer of the video information being stored in a memory, in a header extension field of the RTP header; and transmitting the RTP packet including the encrypted video information to a routing device.

A license data for controlling partial avoidance or simultaneous access to multimedia contents, and a device and a method for consuming multimedia contents by using the same are provided to control the partial avoidance or the simultaneous access to the multimedia contents in a multimedia consuming device by using the license data representing a condition for avoiding or accessing the multimedia contents. A receiver(106) receives the multimedia contents and the license data representing the condition for inhibiting the partial avoidance for the multimedia contents. A license interpreter(108) generates a partial avoidance control signal by receiving the license data from the receiver and interpreting the received license data. A controller(110) controls the avoidance for a predetermined part of the multimedia contents according to the partial avoidance control signal. A partial avoidance inhibition condition includes the information for a multimedia content section applying partial avoidance inhibition. Content section information is time information including start and duration time.

Abstract:
A broadcasting system for an interactive data service and a service method thereof are provided to enable a user to receive a service linked with broadcast contents by receiving a data service through a broadcast network. A decoder(50) receives and decodes broadcasting contents including user interaction contents. When the user interaction corresponding to the user interaction contents is generated, a node manager extracts return channel information for transmitting the user interaction result. According to the return channel information, a communication network connection unit(70) transmits the user interaction result. The return channel information comprises the address of a return channel server.
