Abstract:
The apparatus comprises a buffer container (1) for receiving the pasty substance of high viscosity, a feed line (11), through which the buffer container (1) can be refilled with the substance, a pressure generator (2 to 5), by which the substance in the buffer container (1) can be pressurizes, a nozzle (10), which is close to the buffer container (1), a pressure sensor (43) downstream of the pressure generator, and a controller (44). As a result, the metering rate can exactly be controlled close to the nozzle (10).
Abstract:
The apparatus comprises a horizontal conveyor (2), which comprises an endless conveying element (5) having supporting surfaces (11, 12 ), on which the insulating glass panes (20) stand. Backing means (16) for the insulating glass panes (20) extend above the horizontal conveyor and define a plane of travel (34) for the panes. The horizontal conveyor (8) is displaceable in a direction which is at right angles to the direction of conveyance and parallel to that one supporting surface (11), which is adjacent to the plane of travel for the panes.
Abstract:
The apparatus comprises a horizontal conveyor (1), on which the glass panes (4) are conveyed while they are supported by backing means (2), which by their supporting forward surface define a plane of pane travel (3), a tool (18) for processing the glass panes (4) along their edge and a drive motor for displaying the tool (18) in a direction which is parallel to the plane of pane travel (3) and transverse to the direction of travel (5). For a control of the movement of the tool (18), electronic line cameras (8) are provided, which are so directed toward the plane of pane travel (3) that their scanning lines extend in or parallel to the plane of pane travel and at right angles to the direction of travel (5). For measuring the distance traveled, a displacement pick-up (15) is provided, which is synchronized with the horizontal conveyor (1). The signals from the line cameras (8) and from the displacement pickup (15) are delivered to an evaluating computer (16) for controlling the tool (18).
Abstract:
The apparatus serves for a slipless conveyance of two coextensive parallel plates, which are in register and transversely spaced apart and supported on those broadsides which are remote from each other in respective planes of travel. The apparatus comprises at least two vacuum-applying conveyors, which are adapted to be driven in synchronism in a direction of travel and extend parallel to each other and are disposed opposite to each other and transversely spaced apart and are adapted to contact said plates on those broadsides which are remote from each other and to convey said plates in said direction of travel.
Abstract:
A process is disclosed in which a rectangular spacer frame (16) for insulating glass is automatically manufactured in that a tubular bar is repeatedly bent in a common bending plane (5) and its free ends (19, 20) are joined. One or both end portions of the tubular bar are deflected out of the bending plane (5) during the final bending operation so that the free ends (19, 20) are moved to such positions that said extremities are laterally spaced apart and extend alongside each other. The end portions (17, 18) of the tubular bar are then gripped and moved to positions in which they are axially aligned and spaced apart. The free ends of said end portions are subsequently joined to each other to form the spacer frame (16), which is subsequently transferred to an overhead conveyor (69) in an automatic operation.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the distribution of a plastic of the butyl rubber type, and more particularly to its preparation and its routing from a tank where it is hard, viscous and at a relatively low temperature, to an extrusion nozzle where it must have a viscosity and a hardness much lower than those that it had initially. The invention proposes a preparation in several stages combining heating and pressurizing so as to feed, at the desired delivery and with the desired quality of plastic, an optionally mobile nozzle. The invention applies to the production of a bead that is used as a seal and as an interlayer in multiple glazings.
Abstract:
Dryer for drying washed glass plates as they travel in a housing having an entrance slot and an exit slot and contains a conveyor having bottom members and backing elements defining a plane of travel for the glass plates. Elongate front and rear blast nozzles are provided and which are respectively disposed on both sides of the plane of travel and are upwardly inclined opposite to the direction of travel and have air exit slots which face the plane of travel and extend upwardly from a level which is close to the level of the bottom edge supporting conveyor. Respective shields are provided between the blast nozzles and the adjacent walls of the housing. The housing has an exhaust air outlet. In one embodiment, the top end of each blast nozzle is spaced from the entrance end wall of the dryer and the exhaust air opening is formed in the top wall of the housing between the upper ends of the blast nozzles and the entrance end wall of the dryer. In another embodiment, each shield extends between one of the blast nozzles and the adjacent side wall of the housing and is contiguous to said adjacent side wall up to a predetermined level along a line which is approximately parallel to the blast nozzle and above said level is contiguous to said side wall along a steeper line, and the exhaust air outlet is formed in the top wall of the housing at the top end of a duct which is defined by the shields and the entrance end wall of the dryer.
