In detail, a method for relocating, by a first serving node, a serving node in a wireless communication system can include: receiving a tracking area update (TAU) request message from a terminal; transmitting an update location request to a home subscriber server (HSS), when the first serving node having received the TAU request message is different from a second serving node that is an old node; and transmitting an update location message to a service capability exposure function (SCEF), when the first serving node is different from the second serving node that is the old node and a connection for transmitting/receiving non-internet protocol (non-IP) data via the SCEF is configured in the terminal.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a method and apparatus for monitoring UE reachability in a wireless communication system. More specifically, a method for monitoring UE reachability in a wireless communication system may include receiving, by a Mobility Management Entity (MME), a monitoring request message for UE reachability including a maximum response time from a Home Subscriber Server (HSS), detecting, by the MME, the UE reachability if it is expected that paging is able to be transmitted to UE when extended Discontinuous Reception (DRX) is applied to the UE, and sending, by the MME, a UE reachability notification to a Service Capability Exposure Function (SCEF) before a next paging occasion of the UE, wherein the maximum response time may indicate a time during which the UE maintains a reachable state so that downlink data is reliably delivered to the UE, and wherein an occasion when the UE reachability notification is transmitted may be determined by taking into consideration the maximum response time.
Abstract:
A method for a UE to perform public land mobile network (PLMN) selection associated with ProSe direct communication in a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: selecting a PLMN; and registering with the PLMN, wherein the UE performs ProSe direct communication in the selected PLMN without executing PLMN selection any more, even if the UE fails to register with the selected PLMN, wherein ProSe direct communication in the selected PLMN is performed in a limited service state, wherein the UE is in the limited service state when the UE has not discovered a suitable cell, when the UE receives "PLMN not allowed" or when the UE receives "GPRS not allowed".
Abstract:
A paging transmission method and an apparatus for the same in a wireless communication system are provided. Specifically, a method for transmitting paging by a eNodeB (eNB) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method may include receiving a paging message including paging count and a coverage enhancement (CE) level value from a mobility management entity (MME) and in case of receiving the paging message from the MME, transmitting paging information to a user equipment(UE) through a paging control channel (PCCH), wherein the CE level value is a CE level received from a eNB to which the UE is lastly connected.
Abstract:
Provided according to a disclosure of the present specification is a method for processing a circuit switched fall-back (CSFB) or a single radio voice call continuity (SRVCC) during a selected IP traffic offload (SIPTO) service. The method for processing a CSFB or a SRVCC during a SIPTO service in a network entity responsible for a control plane in a mobile communication network comprises the steps of: in a state in which a first packet data network (PDN) connection has been established for a terminal, establishing a second PDN connection according to the application of the SIPTO service while maintaining the first PDN connection; if CSFB or SRVCC is requested, determining which to release from among the first PDN connection and the second PDN connection; and releasing the any one PDN connection which has been determined.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for processing paging from a server managing mobility within a mobile communication network. The method comprises the steps of: the mobility management server receiving a tracking area update (TAU) request from user equipment; the mobility management server obtaining context of the user equipment from a previous mobility management server for the user equipment; the mobility management server determining whether paging was being performed from the previous mobility management server by downlink data to be relayed to the user equipment, based on the context that is obtained; and relaying a paging signal to one or more base stations for the user equipment when the paging with respect to the user equipment is determined as being performed.
Abstract:
A disclosure in the present specification provides a method for user equipment initiating a service request procedure. The method includes a step of the UE receiving a paging message. The UE may be registered to both of a 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) access and a non-3GPP access within the same PLMN. The paging message may include access type information that is used so as to indicate the non-3GPP access. The method may include a step of initiating a UE triggered service request procedure. The UE triggered service request procedure may be initiated by transmitting a service request message including a list of permitted protocol data unit (PDU) sessions. The service request message may include an empty list of the permitted PDU sessions if there is no PDU sessions that can be reactivated in the 3GPP access.
Abstract:
As an aspect of the present disclosure, a method for supporting a User Equipment (UE) handover of a Target-Access and Mobility Management Function (T-AMF) in a wireless communication system may include receiving, from a Source-AMF (S-AMF), a create UE context request message, wherein the create UE context request message includes a Packet Data Unit (PDU) session Identifier (ID) which is a target of handover and Single-Network Slice Selection Assistance Information (S-NSSAI) corresponding to each PDU session ID; determining whether the corresponding S-NSSAI is available in the T-AMF; and based on a result of the determination, transmitting a PDU session update Session Management (SM) context request message to a Session Management Function (SMF) only for the PDU session ID corresponding to the S-NSSAI determined to be available among the PDU session IDs.
Abstract:
A method for registering a terminal of an access and mobility management function (AMF) in a wireless communication system, according to one aspect of the disclosure, comprises the steps of: receiving, from a terminal, a registration request message requesting registration of the terminal; and transmitting, to the terminal, a registration response message in response to the registration request message, wherein the registration request message may include: a session management (SM) message for requesting the establishment of a packet data unit (PDU) session for the terminal; and an indicator for indicating whether the establishment of the PDU session is essential.
Abstract:
A disclosed feature of the present specification provides a method for a source cell determining a handover of a packet data unit (PDU) session. The method may include a step of determining a target cell or target next generation radio access network (NG-RAN) based on a measurement report by a terminal. A handover region list can additionally be considered in the target cell or target NG-RAN determination step. The method may include a step of transmitting a handover request message that does not include context with respect to the PDU session to the target cell or target NG-RAN, based on the handover region list, if it is confirmed that the determined target cell or target NG-RAN cannot serve for the PDU session.
