Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent putrefaction and offensive odor of water by reducing the chance that water is in contact with the air in a water supply passage by the functions of a self-priming pump attached to a water supply tank, a funnel-like member covering a periphery of a discharge tube, and a containing member having a filter at the bottom of the tube, etc. CONSTITUTION:Automatic water supply is executed by a control circuit function. A water supply timer is started, and the motor of a pump 6 is forward rotated. Water is directly sucked from a water supply tank 7, and introduced into the pump 6 through a sucking tube inserted into the tank 7 and tube joints 35, 71. The water is discharged from a nozzle 13 via a tube 9. When a first water supply timer is fully counted, the pump 6 is switched to reverse rotation to stop discharging of the water. In this case, an icemaking tray 2 is fully filled with water. A second water supply timer is started, and the motor is reversely rotated. Since residual water in the tube 9 is recovered to the tank, the water of the tray 2 is frozen, ice is released by an inverter 3, and dropped in an ice storage vessel 5. The opportunity of contact of the water with the air in this cycle is reduced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To permit the separation of an upper pan from a lower pan easily by a method wherein the ice making pan is constituted of the upper pan, provided with a plurality of small holes on the bottom surface thereof, the lower pan, whose depth is to deep as to accommodate the upper pan, and a substantially U-shape lever, engaged with the flange of the lower pan and made of synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:An ice making pan is constituted of an upper pan 8, provided with a plurality of small holes 8d on the bottom surface thereof, a lower pan 9, whose depth is so deep as to accommodate the upper pan 8, and a substantially U-shape lever 10, engaged with the flange of the lower pan 9 and made of synthetic resin. According to this constitution, the upper pan 8 may be separated from the lower pan 9 more easily compared with the ice making pan so far since a force is doubled by the principle of lever and two operating units of the substantially U-shape lever 10 effects to separate the upper pan 8 from the lower pan 9 when the handle 9e of the lower pan 9 is held by one hand and the lever 10 is operated by another hand.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the deformation of a vertical partition wall and to prevent a roller from dropping from a rail by engaging the rail provided on a vertical partition wall, the bottom of an inner box, and a rail provided on the side face of the box with an reinforcing iron plate integral therewith. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing iron plate 25 is engaged with a U-shaped first rail 11 formed on the left side face 12 of a vertical partition wall 6 extending upward from the bottom 7 of an inner box 3, and a second rail 13 formed on the side face 14 of the box 3 opposite to the rail 11 from a heat insulator 4 side. The bottom 7 of the box 3 is isolated from the bottom 26 of the plate 25, and holes 27 are formed at the bottom 26. A mounting hole 28 for mounting a first roller 15 is integrally formed at the front of the plate 25. The plate 25 is inserted from the rear face of the box 3 with the rails 11, 13 as guides. Accordingly, even if a force is applied to a drawer door in the state that the door is drawn in a gravity direction, the partition wall is supported from its root, the wall is not deformed, and a second roller is not dropped from a substantially U-shaped rail.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To maintain depth dimensions which are sufficient to receive foodstuff, by forming a discharge port which discharges cooled air into a lower chamber from a cooled air discharge air duct formed in the internal part behind a partition plate which makes a discharge port communicate with a cooled air introduction port through a connection duct. CONSTITUTION:After the quantity of cooled air is properly controlled by a blower 38 with a first damper thermostat 45 by way of a duct 37, the cooled air is discharged into a first low temperature chamber 39 from a cooled air discharge port 57 via a first cooled air discharge air duct 47, and a cooled air discharge air duct 56. The quantity of cooled air is further controlled properly with a second damper thermostat 46, then it is discharged into a second low temperature chamber 40 from a discharge port 54 via a second cooled air discharge air duct 48, a communication duct 52, and a cooled air discharge air duct 53. The cooled air discharged into the second low temperature chamber 40 flows from a space around the outer periphery of an inner door 42 and is sucked up into a suction port 59, passing through the space formed by the upper surface of a horizontal block wall 36 and a tray 58. A control panel 44 and a duct 37 are installed above a low temperature chamber 35, and the air duct is opened to the second low temperature chamber 40 through a communication duct 52, while a cooled air discharge air duct 53 and a discharge port 54 are installed in the rear of a partition plate 41. Therefore, a control panel 44 can be reduced in size while the lower part can be widely used up to the depth.
