Abstract:
Method and system for setting up a bearer are disclosed. The bearer setup method includes these steps: a packet data network gateway (PGW) obtains first quality of service (QoS) information and a first bearer identifier (ID), and sets up a bearer between the PGW and a radio access network (RAN) according to the first QoS information, where the bearer is associated with the first bearer ID; the RAN sets up a radio bearer (RB) with a user equipment (UE) according to second QoS information associated with the first QoS information, where the RB is associated with a second bearer ID associated with the first bearer ID. According to the technical solution of the present invention, when the UE is connected to a serving gateway (SGW) through a serving general packet radio service support node (SGSN), the SGSN and the SGW set up a bearer between the UE and the PGW. Thus, resources of each network entity in a network are fully utilized.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for identifying a UE in an SAE network, and an MME are provided herein. The method includes: receiving an SAE-TMSI which is allocated to a UE that accesses an SAE network and includes at least: a pool-ID, an MME-ID, and a UE temporary identifier; using the SAE-TMSI to temporarily identify the UE in the SAE network. The apparatus includes: a receiving unit and a temporary identifying unit. The MME includes a temporary identifier allocating unit. Moreover, a method for transmitting and allocating a temporary identifier, and a method for receiving and transmitting information according to the temporary identifier are disclosed herein.
Abstract:
A capillary tube bundle sub-assembly for use in an extracorporeal heat exchanger includes a continuous capillary tubing wound about a core to define a plurality of capillary layers each including a plurality of capillary segments. The capillary segments each define opposing terminal ends adjacent opposing ends of the core. The capillary segments of each layer are circumferentially aligned relative to an axis of the core, with each successive layer being radially outward of an immediately preceding layer. The capillary segments are non-parallel with the axis, spiraling partially about the axis in extension between the opposing terminal ends. Each capillary segment forms less than one complete revolution (i.e., winds less than 360°). The segments within each layer are substantially parallel with one another; however, an orientation of the segments differs from layer-to-layer such as by pitch or angle.
Abstract:
A packaged semiconductor device is disclosed. The device comprises a substrate having multiple layers between first and second oppositely disposed faces, and a cavity with an opening at the first face to nest at least one integrated circuit memory device. Logic circuitry is disposed on the second face and includes contacts for electrically coupling to the stacked integrated circuit memory devices. The logic circuitry is coupled to electrical contacts formed on the first face through first electrical paths formed in the multiple layers of the substrate, the first electrical paths including conductive traces and vias.
Abstract:
Compositions and methods for modulating the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of rapid acting injectable insulin formulations are described herein. In the preferred embodiment, the formulations are administered via subcutaneous injection. The formulations contain insulin in combination with a zinc chelator such as ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (“EDTA”) and a dissolution/stabilization agent, and optionally additional excipients. Calcium disodium EDTA is less likely to remove calcium from the body, and typically has less pain on injection in the subcutaneous tissue. Modulating the type and quantity of EDTA can change the insulin absorption profile. Increasing the quantity of citrate can further enhance absorption and chemically stabilize the formulation. In the preferred embodiment, the formulation contains human insulin, calcium disodium EDTA and a dissolution/stabilization agent such as citric acid or sodium citrate. These formulations are rapidly absorbed into the blood stream when administered by subcutaneous injection.
Abstract:
A method of repairing a nonvolatile semiconductor memory device to eliminate defects includes monitoring a memory endurance indicator for a nonvolatile semiconductor memory device contained in a semiconductor package. It is determined whether that the memory endurance indicator exceeds a predefined limit. Finally, in response to determining that the memory endurance indicator exceeds the predefined limit, the device is annealed.
Abstract:
An apparatus comprising a processor configured to startup a new process on a peer processor to off-load a load of a local process on the processor in a dynamic manner based on monitoring an amount of resources used by the processor, wherein the startup of the new process on the peer processor is initiated when the amount of resources used by the local process reaches a threshold.
Abstract:
An apparatus comprising a processor configured to discover one or more peer processors associated with a network component in a dynamic manner by detecting an announcement message from a peer processor, wherein the announcement message is multicast from the peer processor when the peer processor is added or activated on the network component.
