Abstract:
Embodiments herein relate to an elevator system of a facility with multiple floors. The elevator system can comprise elevator cars and an elevator controller. The elevator controller includes a memory and a processor. The memory stores computer program instructions executable by the processor to cause the elevator system to determine a current utilization of the elevator system, automatically activate an adaptive split group operation on a per floor basis when the current utilization of the elevator system is greater than a threshold utilization of the elevator system, and dispatch the elevator cars under the adaptive split group operation in accordance with elevator calls.
Abstract:
An elevator system includes an elevator car drive assembly configured to drive at least one elevator car to a plurality of floors serviced by the elevator system. A mobile electronic device inputs a ride request to deliver an available elevator car among the at least one elevator car to a floor location containing the mobile electronic device. An electronic elevator controller is in signal communication with the elevator drive assembly and the mobile electronic device. The electronic elevator controller is configured to determine an unavailability of an originally assigned elevator car selected to perform the ride request, and to transmit reassignment information to the mobile electronic device indicating modification of the ride request.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for making elevator service requests, including populating a recents list on a computing device with a floor pair having an origination floor and a destination floor, receiving a user input on the recents list including any of a swipe input on the pair, a press, drag and drop of an icon associated with an origination onto an icon associated with a destination in the pair, a press, drag and drop of an icon associated with an origination in one pair onto an icon associated with a destination in another pair, and a press, drag and drop of an icon associated with a former destination as an origination in one pair onto an icon associated with a former origination as a destination in another pair. The method also including generating a service request packet based on the new service request and transmitting it to an elevator controller.
Abstract:
A method of controlling access to a building (202) is provided. The method comprising: receiving a visitor access request for a visitor mobile device (208b); determining a residential group (326) assigned to the visitor mobile device (208b), the residential group (326) including at least one residential mobile device (208a); transmitting the visitor access request to at least one of a resident mobile device (208a) within the residential group (326) and a manager device (208c); receiving an access grant from at least one of the resident mobile device (208a) within the residential group (326) and the manager device (208c); and granting a visitor mobile device (208b) access to at least one of a selected elevator car (204-1), a selected door (205-1, 205-2), and a selected floor (208a-208f).
Abstract:
A method of managing mobile elevator call requests from a mobile device (208) is provided. The method includes: receiving an elevator call parameter from a management interface (400); receiving at least one mobile elevator call request from a mobile device (208); comparing the mobile elevator call request to the elevator call parameter; and restricting the mobile device (208) from sending additional mobile elevator call requests when the mobile elevator call request conflicts with the elevator call parameter.
Abstract:
A method for generating a custom user interface on a mobile device (208) for interfacing with an elevator system (200) includes: selecting a building; presenting an identification of floors in the building; receiving a selection of a plurality of custom floors, the custom floors being a subset of the floors; saving the custom floors; and generating the custom user interface in response to the custom floors.
Abstract:
A conveyance system including a system interface having a camera to generate an image including an input fingerprint and an input finger presentation; a dispatch system including a fingerprint recognition unit and a profile unit, the fingerprint recognition unit comparing the input fingerprint to a reference fingerprint; the dispatch system accessing a user profile when the input fingerprint matches the reference fingerprint; the dispatch system comparing the input finger presentation to a reference finger presentation in the user profile; and the dispatch system retrieving a destination from the user profile when the input finger presentation matches the reference finger presentation.
