Abstract: A hybrid class B channel state information (CSI) reference signal (CSI-RS) scheme is discussed which configures one cell-common beamformed CSI-RS resource for beam tracking and another UE-specific beamformed CSI-RS resource for CSI feedback. The cell-common beamformed CSI-RS resource may be transmitted at a longer periodicity and shared by user equipments (UEs) in the cell. The beamforming may be cycled over a set of predefined weights transparent to UE. The UE-specific beamformed CSI-RS may be transmitted at a shorter periodicity and can be activated dynamically to allow resource sharing among multiple UEs. The UEs will report a CSI for the cell-common beamformed CSI-RS resource which provides a quality indicator for the associated cell-common beam and is utilized by the base station to determine the precoding weight for the UE-specific beamformed CSI-RS resource. Both resources can be configured with different parameter sets, such as number of ports, codebook type, and CSI reporting parameters.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a primary user equipment (UE) may transmit, on a sidelink, information indicating a set of sidelink random access configurations corresponding to a set of uplink random access configurations; receive, on the sidelink and from a secondary UE, a random access signal based at least in part on a selected sidelink random access configuration of the set of sidelink random access configurations, wherein the selected sidelink random access configuration corresponds to a selected uplink random access configuration of the set of uplink random access configurations; and selectively performing a random access procedure in accordance with the selected uplink random access configuration. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for adaptive modulo base selection for non-linear precoding. Aspects provide a method for wireless communications that can be performed by a base station (BS). The BS adaptively selects a modulo base for a data stream for at least one user equipment (UE) in a transmission to one or more UEs. The BS selects the modulo base based on one or more parameters. The BS transmits a signal for at least one UE of the one or more UEs to identify the selected modulo base. The BS performs the transmission to the one or more UEs. The UE receives the transmission from the BS and the signal for the identification of the selected modulo base. Based on the signal, the UE determines the modulo base for at least one data stream in the transmission and decodes the data stream using the modulo base.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for layer mapping for multiple transmission reception point (TRP) transmission, for example, for code block group (CBG) based hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgement feedback in new radio (NR). Aspects of the present disclosure provide a method for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE). The UE receives one or more transport blocks (TBs) from a plurality of TRPs. Each of the one or more TBs comprises a plurality of CBs. For one or more of the plurality of CBs, all bits of the CB are received from a same TRP. The UE decodes the one or more TBs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a set of channel state processes scheduled to be performed. The UE may receive a channel state feedback request corresponding to another set of channel state processes. The combination of the set of channel state processes and the other set of channel state processes may be greater than an amount that the UE may process at a given time. The UE may determine a priority for the channel state processes either on an individual or group basis. The UE may determine channel state process (es) to drop based on the determined priorities, and may perform the remaining channel state processes. The UE may generate and transmit a channel state feedback report message based on the performed channel state processes.

Abstract: Techniques are described herein for determining a priority ranking for channel state information (CSI) reports based at least in part on a reliability parameter, a latency parameter, or both of resources allocated to a user equipment (UE). In some wireless communications systems, ultra reliable low latency communication (URLLC) services may be interspersed with enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) services. The UE may perform a CSI report prioritization procedure to account for reliability parameters, latency parameters or both. In some cases, CSI reporting for resources associated URLLC services may receive higher priority than CSI reporting for eMBB services. The UE may be configured to determine reliability parameters and/or latency parameters based on signaling received from the network or from determining changes to one or more configurations of the UE. In some cases, the priority ranking of the CSI report may be based at least in part on a slot set identifier.
