Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may identify at least one suitable configuration for sounding reference signal (SRS) antenna switching and transmit the at least one suitable configuration for SRS antenna switching to the base station via a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) (MAC-CE) or a radio resource control (RRC) message. The base station may receive the at least one suitable configuration for SRS antenna switching from the UE, and transmit an active SRS antenna switching configuration to the UE, the active SRS antenna switching configuration based on the suitable configuration for SRS antenna switching received from the UE.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE). The UE receives, from a network entity, at least one channel state information (CSI) report configuration configuring the UE to transmit, to the network entity, a base CSI report and one or more differential CSI reports that include at least some CSI values reported relative to CSI values in the base CSI report. The UE transmits the base CSI report and the one or more differential CSI reports to the network entity, in accordance with the at least one CSI report configuration.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support mechanisms for base station-assisted UE antenna port selection. A user equipment (UE) transmits, to a base station, a sounding reference signal (SRS) switching capability report (e.g., a xTyR report) indicating to the base station a number of receive antenna ports configured for the UE. (e.g., capability to transmit on x antenna ports and reception over a total of y antenna ports). The UE transmits an SRS to the base station sounding the y antenna ports. The base station selects and indicates y' antenna ports out of the y antenna ports for the UE to receive a subsequent downlink data transmission based on a channel estimation based on the SRS transmission, or based on channel state feedback (CSF). In aspects, the UE provides a recommendation of y', and the base station may determine y' based on the UE's recommendation.

For instance, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, control signaling for a first sounding reference signal. The UE may determine, based on the configuration and a set of parameters associated with partial frequency sounding of the first sounding reference signal, a subset of a set of resources configured for the first sounding reference signal, where the subset of the set of resources excludes at least one resource of the set of resources. The UE may transmit, to the base station, a second sounding reference signal over the subset of the set of resources.

Abstract: A user equipment may be configured to perform cell reselection during a gateway and/or satellite switch. In some aspects, the user equipment (UE) may transmit, to another device, correlation capability information indicating a sounding reference signal (SRS) grouping capability of the UE, and receive, from the other device, reference signal (RS) configuration information for configuring a sounding procedure to be performed by the UE. Further, the UE may transmit a reference signal to the other device over a reference antenna port of the UE to allow the other device to determine channel information for another antenna port of the UE, and receive data from the other device based on the channel information.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may receive a capability message from a user equipment (UE) based on a number of receive antennas exceeding a number of transmit antennas at the UE. The base station may configure the UE with a mapping between sounding reference signal (SRS) resources and bit sequences, or SRS resource indices (SRIs), based on the capability message. The base station may transmit a control message including one or more SRIs indicating respective SRS resources. The UE may use the one or more SRIs included in a control message from the base station to select respective SRS resources from a resource set. Once the UE selects one or more SRS resources, the UE may transmit one or more SRSs in the SRS resources.

Abstract: Aspects relate to wireless communication for slot postponing of aperiodic sound reference signals (A-SRS) by a user equipment in a wireless network. A network node, such as a gNodeB, may send at least a portion of a slot postponing configuration for transmission of aperiodic sounding reference signals (A-SRSs) to a user equipment (UE). In a particular aspect, the slot postponing configuration is established through RRC signaling and does not utilize downlink control information (DCI) or MAC-CE sent parameters for establishing the slot postponing configuration. The slot positioning configuration is used to control slot offset postponing, the number of slot offsets, the number of times transmission of A-SRS can be postponed in the UE, and priority rules based on the postponing configuration.

The UE may further determine, in response to receiving the indication, a first SRS transmission power level for transmitting the SRS from the UE to the BS using the portion of the configured SRS frequency resources.
