    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the photosensitive material shortened in sensitive light wavelength and capable of matching with the elevatrd precision of a cathode ray tube by using a cross-linking agent having a benzene ring introduced by an alkoxy or alkyl group. SOLUTION: The photosensitive material to be used is a PVP-DAS type photosensitive material prepared by using a photosensitive liquid of polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP) and the cross-linking agent of sodium 4,4'- diazidostilben-2-2'-disulfonate(DAS), and an electron-donative alkoxy or alkyl group is introduced to the 6-6'-position or 5-5'-position of the benzene ring of DAS to give the electron donative characteristics and steric hindrance and to shorten the PVP-DAS in the sensitive wavelength region. The (n) of (CH3O)n and (CH3)n is, preferably, 1-6, and the most preferable material is the following one most shortened in the photosensitive wavelength: Sodium 4,4'- diazidostilben-6-6'-dimethoxy-2-2'-disulfonate.

SOLUTION: A compound expressed by formula I is used as a distyryl compound contained in an organic layer. In formula I, R1, R2, R3 and R4 are mutually the same or different groups, and are an aryl group expressed by formula II. Here, in formula II, R13, R14, R15, R16 and R17 are mutually the same or different groups, and area hydrogen atom or at least one of them is a saturated or unsaturated alkoxyl group, an alkyl group, an amino group or an alkyl amino group. The alkyl group is desirably a methyl group and a t-butyl group. In formula I, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, R10, R11 and R12 are mutually the same or different groups, and at least one of them is a cyano group, a nitro group or a halogen atom.
