SOLUTION: In the case that it is required to set up a communication channel with a transmitter via a public network 70, a CPU 100f acquires a telephone number of the transmitter from an HDD 100j and gives it to a channel control section 100k via a bus 100e. The line control section 100k transmits this telephone number to a public network 70. When establishment of a communication channel by this telephone number is unsuccessful due to any cause, the CPU 100f extracts the telephone number (telephone number of the transmitter) included in a broadcast wave received by a reception section 100a and gives it to the channel control section 100k, from which dialing is made. When the setup of the communication channel is still unsuccessful, the similar processing is repeated furthermore.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply set an IP address by using a connected telephone set in the Internet telephone system. SOLUTION: When a button '*' or '#' of a telephone set is depressed, an address setting mode is set and numerals entered sequentially are stored in an address storage section 21. An address verification section 22 verifies whether or not the numerals are proper as the IP address, and when proper, a ping section 23 applies ping processing to them to check the arrival possibility to a speech destination. When any error is in existence in the checking above, address re-entry is urged in voice by a message synthesis section 25 and a voice output section 26. When a proper address is set, a transmission state detection section 24 detects a transmission state of a network based on the response in the ping processing to control a quantization rate of voice data by a quantization section 13.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect a normal telephone with the Internet. SOLUTION: A telephone number inputted by operating push keys of a telephone set 1 is transmitted to a server 10 via a connecting device 2, a router 3 and the Internet 4. The transmitted telephone number is received and supplied to a retrieving means 10b and a use condition managing means 10d by a receiving means 10a of the server 10. A Internet Protocol(IP) address corresponding to the telephone number is acquired from a storage means 10c by the retrieving means 10b. In addition, information for indicating the use condition of the telephone set (to indicate whether it is busy or not) is acquired by the use condition managing means 10d. The information supplied form the use condition managing means 10d is referred and when a desired telephone set is not busy, the IP address is transmitted to the connecting device 2 by a transmitting means 10e. As a result, a speech processing is performed between the connecting device 2 and a connecting device being the other party of speech by closing a communication line by the connecting device 2. In addition, a processing to write and update the information is performed with respect to the storage means 10c by a writing means 10f and an information updating means 10g.

If the important message from the caller is recorded, the line is disconnected. The dial number of the memory in a microcomputer for control 3 is read and the telephone set of the destination is called after prescribed sec pass. If the telephone set of the destination is picked up and a person who picked it up is not the user, a previously recorded part calls the user's name and requests of transmission. If a handset is picked up even once, a response detector 14 detects that the line control circuit 2 has inverted the DC voltage of the line.

CONSTITUTION:By operating a keyboard 8, the dial number of the telephone systems, for example, 2, 3, and 4, of the transfer opposites are stored in a memory 15, and the message to be transferred is stored in a recording and reproducing device 9. Next, by depressing a transfer start button, a network device 10 is connected to the telephone line, and also, the dial signal of the device 2 is read out from the memory 15, and based on the above dial signal, a dialing device 11 performs the dial call of the device 2, and a call tone is sent to the telephone system 1 via the line. And the device 1 detects a nonaudio period based on the presence/absence of the voice signal from the line. In this case, the message is sent to the device by applying muting while an intermittent tone is generated, and preventing the tone from being detected at the device 1. Similar operations are performed for the devices 3 and 4, and efficient transmission can be performed.

Then when this switch is released, the pause state of the sound recording is entered. In this sound recording state, the addresses of a RAM 61 for the answer message are changed successively to perform the sound recording, but the addresses are not changed in the pause state and the pause period is stored. When the answer message is reproduced, the pause period of the same length is inserted where a pause is made in the sound recording. When the sound recording is performed, the RAM 61 is not wasted in the pause period, so the RAM 61 may have small capacity.
