PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid cartridge which can prevent the forgeting of the peeling of a closing film which closes a communication hole from occurring, and to provide a removing method for a protective member. SOLUTION: A knob piece 8b of the closing film 8 which is led out from a space between the upper surface of the cartridge main body 2 and a second fastening section 15 of a protective cap 12 is pullet out, and thus, the protective cap 12 can be removed. Therefore, the removal of the protective cap 12 and the peeling of the closing film 8 can be performed together, and the communication hole 5 with the outside can properly be opened. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently carry out liquid discharging performance maintenance by reducing discharge defects of a liquid by a liquid discharging head in a liquid discharging performance maintenance method of a liquid discharging apparatus which discharges a liquid from liquid discharging nozzles of the liquid discharging head. SOLUTION: An ink (predetermined liquid) (i) within a printing head 22 which is supplied from an ink tank 4 to be discharged from the ink discharging nozzle 40a is ejected out of an ink send pipe 159, and bubbles mixed in the ink (i) are removed, whereby the discharge defects of the ink are reduced in the liquid discharging performance maintenance method. A state of the ink (i) in the ink send pipe 159 which ejects the ink (i) within the printing head 22 is detected by a bubble sensor 202. The ink (i) in the printing head 22 is sucked on the basis of the state of the ink (i) by an electrically driven pump 201, whereby bubble removal in the ink (i) is carried out. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nozzle cap which can be removed easily without damaging the liquid ejection face of a nozzle sheet during use while preventing leakage of liquid when a liquid ejection head is transported or stored, and can be used repeatedly while dealing even with a nozzle sheet of large area. SOLUTION: The nozzle cap 30 of a printer head comprising a nozzle sheet 17 in which a nozzle 18 is formed and ejecting ink in an ink liquid chamber from the nozzle 18 is further provided with a sealing part 31 for closing the nozzle 18 from the ink ejection face side of the nozzle sheet 17 and preventing leakage of ink. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a liquid in a liquid ejecting nozzle from being dried, thickened and solidified, in a method for maintaining liquid ejection performance of a liquid ejector which ejects the liquid, supplied into a liquid ejecting head from a liquid vessel, from the liquid ejecting nozzle. SOLUTION: In this method for maintaining the liquid ejection performance, the ink 16 in of the ink ejecting nozzle 10 of the printhead is prevented from being dried, thickened and solidified, in a state wherein ink 16 is supplied from an ink tank and wherein the ink 16 is prevented from spontaneously leaking from the nozzle 10 of a printhead for ejecting the ink 16 from the nozzle 10 formed on a nozzle surface. When the ink is not ejected from the nozzle 10, the pressure of the ink 16 in an ink chamber 14 is changed, and the ink near the nozzle 10 is fluidized. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove bubbles contained in liquid by replacing the liquid in a short time when the liquid is circulated between a liquid ejection head and a liquid tank by generating a negative pressure in the liquid ejection head. SOLUTION: When ink is fed from a plurality of ink ejection nozzles 27 formed in the nozzle surface 10 to an ink supply port 11 located substantially in the center of a print head 2 through a conduit 4 for supplying ink from an ink tank 3 storing ink 8 being fed to the print head 2 ejecting ink, thence returned from ink discharge ports 12a and 12b at the opposite end parts of the print head 2 back to the ink tank 3 through an ink circulation conduit 5, and a negative pressure is generated in the print head 2 by driving a liquid feed pump 6 arranged on the ink circulation conduit 5 in order to circulate ink between the print head 2 and the ink tank 3, a substantially identical ink discharge time is set for the ink discharge ports 12a and 12b at the opposite end parts of the print head 2. In the paper delivery port 22, opening area on a conveyance reference side of paper sheet P is set to be larger than opening area on the opposite side to the conveyance reference side. SOLUTION: There are set a liquid chamber 55 where the liquid 4 is filled, an inflow channel 56 for flowing the liquid 4 into the liquid chamber 55, an outflow channel 57 for flowing the liquid 4 out of the liquid channel 55, a valve 59 for opening and closing the outflow channel 57, a coil spring 60 for urging the valve 59 in a direction to shut the outflow channel 57, an outside air communication part 58 which communicates with the outflow channel 57 and also communicates with the outside air, and a diaphragm 63 which separates between the outside air communication part 58 and the outflow channel 57 and is coupled to the valve 59. When the pressure in the outflow channel 57 decreases, the diaphragm 63 is elastically displaced to the outflow channel 57 side, and at the same time, the valve 59 opens the outflow channel 57 against the urging of the coil spring 60 by the pressing of the diaphragm 63. SOLUTION: An engagement protrusion 18 and an engagement face part 19 are set at a side face of one end in a longitudinal direction of the ink tank 11 formed long in a width direction of a recording paper, and at a side face upper part of the other end, respectively. A latch lever 34 with an engagement hole 34a to be engaged with the engagement protrusion 18, and an engagement element 33 to be engaged with a flat part 19b of the engagement face part 19 are set at one side face of a setting part 32 of a head cartridge 21 where the ink tank 11 is set, and at the other side face, respectively. The flat part 19b of the engagement face part 19 is engaged with the engagement element 33, and the ink tank 11 is pivoted on the engagement element 33 as a fulcrum. SOLUTION: The detector 10 for detecting the quantity of a conductive liquid contained in vessels T1 and T2 comprises a liquid detecting circuit 20 having an electrode part 26 (26a-26e) touching the liquid in the vessels T1 and T2 to bring about a conducting state, an impedance 22 and an AC signal source 21, and arranged to deliver a signal indicative of the conducting state of the electrode part 26 by receiving an AC signal not including a DC component from the AC signal source 21 through the impedance 22 and to deliver a binarized signal indicative of conduction of the electrode part 26 based on the output signal, and a means 31 for making a decision whether the liquid is present at the electrode part 26 or not based on the binarized signal delivered from the liquid detecting circuit 20.
