    Abstract: PURPOSE:To avoid the deterioration of the vertical image resolution and to eliminate the flicker on a character screen, by giving a substantial H/2 delay to the scanning line in an odd field compared with a scanning line in an even field. CONSTITUTION:A video signal S given from the preceding stage is applied to a contact (a) of a switch circuit 3, a character decoder 4 and a synchronous separating circuit 5. The signal S is sampled when the character signal is received at the circuit 4, and a character signal SA is applied to a contact (b) of the circuit 3. The signal S or SA given from the circuit 3 is switched through a switch circuit 8 of a double scanning frequency converting circuit 7, and the output is applied alternately to a 1H memories 10 and 11. At the same time, the signal read in a double speed as high as the writing out of a switch circuit 9 plus the signal delayed by H/2 through an H/2 memory 12 are applied to the contacts (a) and (b) of the circuit 13. Then the circuit 13 is switched by a signal ID given from a control circuit 6 based on the horizontal and vertical synchronous signals HD and VD to discriminate an odd or even scanning field. Then the signals corresponding to each field are applied to a CRT14.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To compensate the transfer characterstic to obtain an accurate filter characteristic, by cascading plural variable delay circuits and by comparing an output, which is obtained by synthesizing their outputs, with an input and by feeding back the comparison result as a delay time control signal. CONSTITUTION:The color video signal from a terminal T1 is delayed by delay circuits DL1-DLn successively and is supplied to a synthesizing circuit 1, and a luminance signal and a chrominance signal are taken out to terminals T4 and T5, respectively. Outputs of respective delay circuits are supplied to a synthesizing circuit 11 and becomes a signal of a prescribed phase characteristic and is supplied to a comparing circuit 12 and is compared in phase with the color video signal, and the comparison output in the burst time is supplied to an integrating circuit 14 through a gate circuit 13. A DC voltage which changes the polarity and the level in accordance with the phase of the burst signal is generated from the circuit 14 and is fed back together with a bias voltage 15 to a transistor Q4 of each delay circuit, and the delay time is controlled to separate the luminance signal and the chrominance signal surely. Since the delay characteristic is controlled on a basis of the burst signal, the characteristic of the filter is accurate even for temperature variance.

Thus, control signal XB to the correction signal for improvement of the frequency characteristics of the chrominance signal is obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the space frequency of the color difference signal by providing the LPF featuring a lower cut-off frequency than the LPF which deletes the high- band signal of the luminance signal and then detecting the variation quantity of amplitude from the low-band signal drawn out of the LPF. CONSTITUTION:The following LPF's are provided to each input signal: LPF16 to separate luminance signal YH into low-band signal YL and high-band signal YH; LPF11R, 11B and 11G to match the characteristics corresponding to LPF16; and LPF2 featuring a lower cut-off frequency than these LPF's. The output of LPF2 of each luminance and color signals is supplied to differential circuits 9, 12R, 12B and 12G each to obtain the variation amount of the amplitude. Then ratio SD is obtained through dividers 10R, 10B and 10G between the variation amount of the color difference signal and variation amount YLL of the luminance signal. This result is then multiplied by signal YH via multipliers 13R, 13B and 13G to deliver correction signals SPR, SPG and SPG each. These correction signals are compounded with the output of LPF1 of the color difference signal through compounding units 14R, 14B and 14G each, and then supplied to matrix circuit 5 to produce primary color signals R, B and G respectively.
