Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a recording and reproducing device with is capable of being accurately manufactured at a low cost by forming a rotary head drum and the guide block of a tape drawing out guide member independent of a die casting or a high-precision resin, also in which no deformation of a lead of the rotary head drum is generated. CONSTITUTION:The peripheral surface of the bottom of the drum 7 at the fixed side of the rotary head drum 3 is supported in the point contact state on supporting pieces 4a, 4b, 4c which are erected from a supporting pedestal 1 subjected to a sheet metal drawing and the fixed drum 7 is fastened and fixed by one shaft part 10 at the eccentric position from the center shaft of the rotary drum head 3. Weld fixing pieces 13a, 13b, 13c and 14a, 14b, 14c of the plate sheet drawn guide blocks 13 and 14 are respectively welded and fixed on the supporting pieces 15a, 15b, 15c and 16a, 16b, 16c which are erected from the supporting pedestal 1.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a tape running system independent of the effect to the tape running height due to the inclination error of a roller guide by specifying a winding angle of the tape against the roller guide at the exit side. CONSTITUTION:The winding angle theta of the tape T against the roller guide 3 at the exit side supported by a base member 4 is set to nearly 180 deg.. By this arrangement, the tape running height is almost unchanged against the change of roller guide 3 in the azimuth direction both for the FWD/RVP running of the tape. Hance, the stable tape running system against the variance in the inclination of roller guide 3 is designed.
