Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shielding apparatus which enables an intermediate rail and a bottom one to be each independently operated for ascent/descent by means of a common operation cord. SOLUTION: This shielding apparatus includes a lifting and lowering device which enables shielding materials 2 and 4 to be vertically pulled out or folded in by lifting and lowering the intermediate rail 3 and the bottom one 5. The lifting and lowering device comprises the endless operation cord 16 which is suspended from a head box 1, and a selective operation means 13 which enables the intermediate rail 3 to be lifted and lowered by operating the operation cord 16 in one direction and which enables the bottom rail 5 to be lifted and lowered by operating the operation cord 16 in the other direction. The selective operation means 13 enables the bottom rail 5 and the intermediate one 3 to be pulled up at a stroke by pushing up the intermediate one 3 by means of the bottom one 5. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball chain having a fail-safe function and a simple configuration.SOLUTION: This ball chain is constituted into an endless manner by molding balls made of synthetic resin on a cord at an equal interval. One of the balls 15 includes a strength attenuating means 16 for reducing tensile strength of cords 14a, 14b in the ball 15.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation cord including a fail-safe function.SOLUTION: This operation cord 9 is formed into an endless shape by connecting both of end parts of a cord 14 in a connection part 15. The connection part 15 includes a first connection member 17 and a second connection member 18 being separable from each other by action of the tensile force exceeding the tensile force acting on the operation cord while the operation cord 9 is usually operated and connection cords 19, 23 for connecting the first and second connection members 17, 18 with the end parts of the cord 14.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily provide a connecting part of an operation cord, which can facilitate manufacturing and secure a sufficient holding force, while enabling the cord to be connected by a slight operating physical force.SOLUTION: In the operation cord which is formed in an endless shape by connecting both ends thereof via the connecting part, the connecting part includes fitting protrusions 45 of a solid body, which are provided at both the ends of the cord, respectively, and a tubular connecting member 42 which enables the fitting protrusions 45 to be fitted together in such a manner as to face each other.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting part of a cord, which can secure a sufficient holding force while enabling the cord to be connected by a slight operating physical force.SOLUTION: In this cord having both ends connected together by means of a connecting part, the connecting part 16 includes a first fitting part 29 which is equipped with a shaft-like fitting protrusion 30, and a second fitting part 34 which is equipped with a fitting hole 35 capable of undergoing the fitting of the fitting protrusion 30; and the fitting protrusion 30 can be fitted into the fitting hole 35 by being inserted into the fitting hole 35 and turned.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slat angle adjusting device for a vertical blind, allowing continuous angle adjustment to an angle following the sun without reversing the slats, while overlapping both sides of the adjacent slats in the totally closed state to intercept outside light. SOLUTION: The vertical blind has a large number of slats turnably suspension-supported from a suspension frame. The slats can be operated to turn in the same phase by a turning device, and when the slats are turned into the totally closed direction, both side parts of the slat overlaps with the adjacent slats. A turning device 2b for every other slat is provided with an interference impeding means 13 not interfering with turning of the adjacent slats in a position to interfere with turning of the adjacent slats. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar shading device capable of easily and greatly changing a lower limit position of a solar shading material.SOLUTION: A solar shading material lifting device of the present invention includes: a head box; a winding shaft that is housed in the head box and that lifts and lowers a solar shading material by rotation; a drive shaft that rotates the winding shaft; a limit unit that regulates the rotation of the drive shaft when the solar shading material reaches a lower limit position; and a connection and separation part that can connect/separate the limit unit to/from the drive shaft.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation cord comprising a fail-safe function.SOLUTION: An operation cord 9 is formed in an endless shape by connecting both ends of a cord 14. A ball is formed in a connection part between both the ends of the cord 14. When tensile force exceeding force normally acting on the operation cord 9 acts on it, at least one of both the ends of the cord 14 and the ball are disconnected from each other.
