    Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase the performance by forming a specified dimensional cloth with very fine fibers which are made from polyarylene containing sulfur in its principal chain and have a specified surface constitution. CONSTITUTION:The cloth is made of about 0.5 denier or less very fine fibers and formed so as to have a thickness of 0.05-5mm, a porosity of 10-85%, and a unit weight of 5-500g/m . Polyarylene contains sulfur in its principal chain, and the sulfur ingredient on the surface of the fiber exists in the form of one or more constitutional units indicated in -SO-, -SO2-, or -SO3-, and its content is 3 mole percent or more based on the total sulfur. One mole percent or more of hydrophilic groups as indicated in the figure based on the polyarylene constitutional unit are contained on the surface of the fiber. A separator having good chemical resistance, heat resistance, and mechanical strength can be obtained.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion molded product of a polyolefin resin capable of improving hanging down properties during heating by a vacuum molding method and scarcely causing wrinkles or breaking. SOLUTION: This expansion molded product of the polyolefin resin is obtained by using a cross-linked polyolefin resin foam composed of a composition comprising 100 pts.wt. of a polyolefin resin and 0.01-20 pts.wt. of polytetrafluoroethylene dispersed in a fibrous form.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thallus locking mat suitable as an erosion preventing mat in which a thallus is nontoxic to ecosystem, movable in the same manner as natural seaweed, and excellent in durability, has the high ability to hold the vertical posture in water with a large buoyancy, and can flexibly cover the sea bottom surface even in the turbulent flow of a fracture zone to exhibit the function of preventing the fluidizing of drift sand, and to provide a thallus locking mat suitable as an artificial seaweed mat which is set in a culture pond to shield the solar light to form a shade, or to protect and grow fry. SOLUTION: This mat 1 has mutually crossing vertical bar 2 and horizontal bar 3, a thallus holder 4 mounted on the vertical bars 2 and/or horizontal bars 3, and a plurality of thalluses 8 fixed to the holder. The holder 4 has a mounting structure capable of being hooked to the vertical bars 2 and/or horizontal bars 3, and the thallus 8 is formed of a strip matter consisting of a polyolefin foamed body having an apparent density of 0.06-0.3 g/cm and a compression hardness of 0.7-100 kg/cm .

CONSTITUTION: The subject film is composed of a polyester containing ethylene-2,6-naphthalate units as >=80mol% of the repeating structural units and the film has the surface state of an average center line surface roughness (Ra) of =1.5 times larger than the above particles. These particles are enveloped by a polyester mainly comprising repeating units other than ethylene-2,6- naphthalate.
