Abstract: PURPOSE:The titled molded product with high hygroscopicity but no sliminess, which comprises an inner layer having an alkali metal-substd. carboxyl group and a surface layer having a cationic material-substd. carboxyl group. CONSTITUTION:A polyamide molded product having at least 7X10 mol/g of an alkali metal-substd. carboxyl group is treated at a temp. as low as possible by use of a cationic material of MW>=50 (e.g., a cationic surfactant or a polyamide cationic softener), to allow the surface layer portion thereof to contain at least 7X10 mol/g of a cationic material-substd. carboxyl group. Said molded product may contain 90% or less polyester (where the polyester is contained in a surface area corresponding to about 50% or less of the total surface area).

Abstract: PURPOSE:Acrylic fibers are treated with an aqueous liquid containing a specific acrylate ester copolymer and a component consisting of higher hydrocarbons and surfactants, thus producing title fibers with high durability to washing and reduced yarn breakage in knitted fabrics when sewed. CONSTITUTION:Acrylic fibers are treated with an aqueous solution or dispersion containing (A) a component composed of a copolymer from 60-90wt% of acrylate or methacrylate ester of the formula (R is H, methyl; R is chlorine, bromine, methoxy; 0 =10) and 10-40wt% of acrylonitrile and (B) another component composed of at least one selected from the group consisting of higher hydrocarbons of 25-33 carbon atoms, esters from 3-6C polyhydric alcohols and 14-18C fatty acids, aliphatic amides from 12-17C fatty acids and aminoalcohols and water- soluble silicone compounds and of a surfactant of polyoxyethylene, thus producing the objective fibers.
