    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further enhance the degree of cleaning after wiping off by specifying the thickness, width, tension strength and extension of a wiping tape, and also forming both edges of the tape by heat-cutting. SOLUTION: From textiles and knittings of a superfine fiber multifilament system of single yarn size 1 denier or less, the wiping tape 1 having a thickness 0.1 to 0.7mm and a width 3 to 1800mm is formed by heat-cutting both the edges. Further, longitudinal tension strength of the wiping tape 1 is set to 40 to 70kg/5cm and extension thereof is set to 65 to 85%. Since fiber terminals of both the edges are in a state of mutual fusion by such the heat-cutting, self- dusting does not occur from the fiber terminal. Further, by specifying a thickness of the wiping tape 1 and a longitudinal tension strength range thereof, a superfine fiber is prevented from generating single yarn cutting for a frictional force. Further, by specifying a breakage and extension range, a superfine fiber is prevented from generating single yarn cutting, and also a force of performing an excellent wiping can be maintained.
