Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply the decorative finish of high quality similar to golden letters provided on a piano on a base surface such as a plastic panel used for an automobile part. SOLUTION: This method comprises a cleaning process 3 for degreasing, cleaning and drying a surface of a base 2, a pad printing process 4 for transferring ink 5 representing desired characters, diagrams and marks onto the surface of the base 2 and a clear coating process 6 for applying a clear coating material over the pad printing and forming a clear film. In the pad printing process 4, an excessive oil content adhering to the surface of the printing pad 7 is wiped off before the ink 5 representing desired characters, diagrams and marks is transferred onto the surface of the printing pad 7. Also the ink 5 is transferred to the surface of the base 2, and then the surface of the base 2 is degreased and cleaned before applying the clear coating material.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To form fine unevenness on a printing surface and to materialize a feeling of clear coating during the process of hydraulic transcription by mixing a specified non-smoothing agent into an activation agent solution and sticking the non-smoothing agent on the printing surface of a transcription film simultaneously with the application of the activation agent solution. CONSTITUTION:A non-smoothing agent selected from a group consisting of wood powder, plastic powder, rubber powder, inorganic matter powder, and pigment, alone or in a mixed state, is mixed into an activation agent solution, for example in a ratio of 10-30 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the solution. The non- smoothing agent is stuck on the printing surface of a transcription film 2 simultaneously with the application of the activation agent solution. In this way, fine unevenness can be formed, together with grain printing, on the surface of a printed product only by hydraulic transcription.
