Abstract:
A sheet-shaped lightguide plate has a substrate layer (1a) and resin layers (1b) formed on upper and lower surfaces of the substrate layer (1a). At least one of the resin layers (1b) has a plurality of microscopic optical configurations formed on the surface thereof to perform optical path conversion. A refractive index of the resin layers (1b) is set equal to or higher than a refractive index of the substrate layer (1a).
Abstract:
An edge-light type light guide plate 30 is provided and has a first surface 31 and a second surface 32 that are opposed to each other, and a peripheral edge surface extending between the peripheral edges of the first and second surfaces. A part of the peripheral edge surface is defined as a light entrance plane 30a. The first surface 31 has a series of parallel elongated convex surfaces 31a that have an arcuate cross-section and extend in a direction substantially perpendicularly intersecting the light entrance plane 30a. The second surface 32 has a series of parallel elongated concave surfaces 32a that have an arcuate cross-section and extend in a direction substantially perpendicularly intersecting the elongated convex surfaces 31a on the first surface.
Abstract:
An LED comprising a circuit board, a connecting electrode unit provided on the circuit board, a reflective cup provided within the circuit board, an LED element disposed in the reflective cup and connected to the connecting electrode unit, and a resin with which the reflective cup is filled, a fluorescent material contained in the resin absorbing one portion of light emitted from the LED element and changing the wavelength of the light.
Abstract:
A light-diffusing member made of an optically transparent material has a light-emitting surface that emits light while diffusing it. The light-emitting surface has a plurality of parallel elongated lens surfaces arranged side-by-side in a row thereon. The elongated lens surfaces each have a convexly arcuate cross-section. The height of the convexly arcuate cross-section of the elongated lens surfaces varies continuously and repeatedly in the longitudinal direction of the elongated lens surfaces.
Abstract:
A lighting device has a light guide plate having light projecting surfaces at least on the one sides thereof, and at least one brightness enhancement film having a plurality of prisms and disposed adjacently to one of both sides of the light guide plate.
Abstract:
A single light guide plate illuminates both first and second liquid crystal display panels opposed to each other, the second liquid crystal display panel having a larger display area than that of the first liquid crystal display panel. A light-absorbing sheet is provided between the light guide plate and the first liquid crystal display panel to absorb light from the light guide plate and has a light-transmitting part aligned with the first liquid crystal display panel in a direction from the light guide plate toward the first liquid crystal display panel to transmit light from the light guide plate to the first liquid crystal display panel. A reflective polarizing sheet is provided between the second liquid crystal display panel and the light guide plate. The light-absorbing sheet eliminates brightness unevenness on the second liquid crystal display panel, which would otherwise occur due to the influence of the first liquid crystal display panel, and the reflective polarizing sheet allows effective utilization of light from the light guide plate.
Abstract:
A lens comprising a transparent member having at least two surfaces, and a Fresnel lens surface provided on each of the two surfaces of the transparent member, the transparent member including a generally plate-like shape having a first surface and a second surface opposing the first surface, the Fresnel lens surface being provided on each of the first and second surfaces of the transparent member.
Abstract:
A sliding bearing 4 is constructed by an upper split bearing half 8 and a lower split bearing half 9. The upper split bearing half 8 has a sliding surface 8a, in which an oil groove 10 which allows an lubricating oil to flow therein is formed over the entire circumferential extent of the sliding surface 8a. The oil groove extends through a crush relief 8c to be open to a junction area 8b, and the oil groove has a bottom 10a which is formed so that a portion disposed toward the junction area as considered in the circumferential direction of the crush relief is located closer to the center of the upper split bearing half in comparison to a central portion. An ingress in large quantities of foreign particles within the oil groove onto the sliding surface of the sliding bearing and into a connecting rod bearing after passing through a lubricating oil feed passage is suppressed, and an oil leakage through the crush relief is reduced, allowing a lubricating oil pressure to be secured and augmented.

A lighting device has a light guide plate having light projecting surfaces at least on the one sides thereof, and at least one brightness enhancement film having a plurality of prisms and disposed adjacently to one of both sides of the light guide plate.
Abstract:
A ladder-type piezoelectric filter includes two parallel resonators adapted to vibrate in a square type vibration mode, each of which has a substantially square shape, and two series resonators adapted to vibrate in a square type vibration mode, each of which has a substantially square shape and has a corner cut portion located at each of four corners. The parallel and series resonators have substantially equal distances between respective opposite side edges thereof and are made from materials having the same frequency constant. The parallel and series resonators are housed within a housing and are aligned at approximate centers thereof.
