Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly heat resistant inorganic fiber-bonded ceramics joined body, which is applicable for high temperature members such as a gas turbine and a heat exchanger for heat generation or for an aircraft requiring extremely high heat resistance and high fracture resistance, and to provide a joining method therefor. SOLUTION: A body (A) to be joined consists of an inorganic fiber-bonded ceramics composed of an inorganic fiber mainly consisting of Si, M, C and O, an inorganic material and a boundary layer mainly consisting of C. A body (B) to be joined consists of the inorganic fiber-bonded ceramics composed of the inorganic fiber containing specified metal atoms and a boundary layer mainly consisting of C. A body (C) to be joined consists of a metal, ceramics or an inorganic composite material. The jointed body is obtained by joining the bodies to be joined at least either one of which is the body (A) or (B) to each other with an intermediate material (D) having a thickness of 5 to 200 μm and mainly consisting of Si and/or a silicon compound or Si and/or ceramics.
