    Abstract: A refrigerating appliance includes a cabinet including an outer wrapper defining opposing first and second sidewalls, a rear wall coupling the first and second sidewalls and an access opening, and an inner liner defining an upper compartment and a lower compartment. The outer wrapper and the inner liner define a sealed insulating cavity therebetween. At least one T-bracket may be coupled to one of the first and second sidewalls. The at least one T-bracket may include a vertical portion and a horizontal portion. The upper compartment and the lower compartment are vertically spaced and include a horizontal plane therebetween. The vertical portion may be disposed across the horizontal plane and the horizontal portion may extend towards the rear wall along the horizontal plane.

    Abstract: An appliance includes a vacuum insulated structure that defines a first compartment and a second compartment with a trim breaker proximate the first and second compartments. A mullion extends between the first compartment and the second compartment. A reinforcement assembly is disposed between the vacuum insulated structure and the trim breaker. The reinforcement assembly includes a perimeter frame disposed on a peripheral edge of the first compartment and the second compartment and a central plate proximate the mullion. Attachment plates extend orthogonally from the central plate and connect the perimeter frame with the central plate. At least one door is hingedly coupled to the vacuum insulated structure.

    Abstract: A refrigerating appliance includes a cabinet assembly that defines an access opening for storing food goods. The cabinet assembly defines an insulating cavity that receives insulation. A mullion assembly extends across the access opening and a trim breaker extends about the access opening. The trim breaker includes a body portion that covers the insulating cavity. First and second connecting flanges extend outwardly from the body portion in a first direction and operably coupled to an inside wall and an outside wall of the cabinet assembly, such that the trim breaker seals the insulating cavity. A forward spacing flange extends outwardly from the body portion of the trim breaker in a second direction that is opposed to the first direction of the first and second connecting flanges. The forward spacing flange contacts the mullion assembly and at least partially defines a receiving space between the mullion assembly and the trim breaker.

    Abstract: A vacuum insulated structure includes a first cover member of a unitary sheet member defining a perimeter portion, an outer frame portion defined radially inward of the perimeter portion, and an inner area surrounded and supported by the outer frame portion. The inner area defines a first planar level with a portion of the outer frame portion extending to a second planar level parallel to and spaced apart from the first planar level in an axial direction. The vacuum insulated structure further includes a second cover member of a unitary sheet and a thermal bridge interconnecting the first cover member and the second cover member at the perimeter portions thereof to define an insulating cavity therebetween. The outer frame portion deforms such that the inner area moves axially inward away from the second planar level under a force of the vacuum within the insulating cavity.

    Abstract: A bracket system for coupling an appliance to a cabinet structure includes a mounting bracket having an inner wall spaced-apart from an outer wall and a plurality of apertures is provided through the outer wall. The inner wall couples to the outer surface of the appliance in assembly. A trim member includes first and second mounting portions and an abutment portion inwardly offset from the first and second mounting portions. The first and second mounting portions each include a plurality of apertures disposed therethrough. An inner surface of the first mounting portion abuts the outer wall of the mounting bracket, such that the apertures disposed therebetween are aligned. The second mounting portion includes a plurality of apertures disposed therethrough, and an outer surface of the second mounting portion is configured to abut the inner surface of the cabinet compartment for mounting thereto.
