Abstract:
A material decelerating device is connected in series with a distribution tube in proximity to a material outlet in an agricultural air distribution system for decelerating conveying air which placing material into a furrow in the ground. The material decelerating includes an inlet tube connected to the distribution tube to receive material and conveying air therefrom. The inlet tube is connected at an intermediate location on a center tube of the device which exhausts the air upwardly to an exhaust opening and deposits the material downwardly through an outlet opening. A cap adjustably spans the exhaust opening to vary the amount of air exhausted. The inlet tube is inclined downwardly in alignment with a helical recessed channel within the center tube to guide material to the outlet.
Abstract:
The invention refers to an agricultural machine comprising a seed furrow forming device 10 and a seed out feeding device (8), which via a linkage device (6) are connected with a structural member (3) in such a way that the seed furrow forming means (10) and the seed out feeding device (8) are moveable at least partly vertically. The seed out feeding device (8) comprises a seed out feeding element (803) which by means of a drive device (401) is rotatable around a seed out feeding axle (805) and adapted to, at a distance from the seed out feeding axle (805), take and release seeds (91). The linkage device (6) is adapted to provide a gearing such that a vertical component of a movement for the seed furrow forming means (10) corresponds to by a smaller vertical component of a movement for the seed out feeding device (8). The drive device (401) is adapted to increase the rotational velocity of the seed out feeding element (803) at an upward-directed relative movement of the seed out feeding device (8), and to decrease the rotational velocity of the seed out feeding element (803) at a downward-directed relative movement of the seed out feeding device (8).
Abstract:
A liquid distribution apparatus (100) for use with a planter, drill or other farming implement having a seed tube (128) that deposits seeds in a furrow. The liquid distribution apparatus (100) includes a supply channel in fluid connection with a hose supplying a liquid to the furrow. The liquid distribution apparatus (100) also includes a distribution channel (202) that is oriented to distribute the liquid onto one or both sidewalls of the furrow. The apparatus may be used alone or along with an extension (118) for reducing seed bounce.
Abstract:
A tool holder, for example for a furrow opener, can swivel in the vertical direction on a main frame (8) and is pressed by both its weight and a spring (92) on or into the soil. The spring (92) acts between the main frame (8) and the tool (10'). A displacement limiter (86) is also arranged parallel to the spring (92), is surrounded by the spring (92) and supports it with its ends. The displacement limiter (86) slides in the tool (10') and is longer than the effective length of the spring (92). Two working areas are thus obtained within which the tool (10') can work: a first non-spring-biased area and a second spring-biased area.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
A soil opener comprises first and second soil-cutting members (20,1). The first member (20) has a first soil-engaging surface (20") inclined at a first angle (H) to a perpendicular (V) to the soil surface (G) when viewed along a travel direction, the first angle (H) being greater than zero, and at a second angle (J) to the travel direction when viewed along a perpendicular (V), the second angle (J) being greater than zero. The second member comprises a rotating disc (1) and has a second soil-engaging surface (1") that faces away from, and in a substantially opposite direction to, the first soil-engaging surface (20"), the second soil-engaging surface (1") being inclined at a third angle (F) to a perpendicular (V) when viewed along the travel direction, the third angle (F) being greater than zero and in the same sense as said first angle (H).
Abstract:
A sowing machine which includes a container (3) and a frame (6, 7) connected thereto, a drawing device and rear wheel assemblies for carrying and moving the container and the frame, and coulter assemblies attached below the container is characterised in that the coulter assemblies are divided to two or more sections for producing separate coulter segments (13A, 13B) provided with wheels (16a, 16b, 16c, 16d; 16e, 16f, 16g, 16h) at the front and at the rear and attached on the frame of the sowing machine with separate suspensions (18, 20; 23a, 23b, 30a, 30b; 23e, 23f, 30e, 30f) so that the segment is allowed to be set on the wheels according to the soil surface both longitudinally and laterally (L, W).
Abstract:
A towable agricultural implement, e.g. a direct drilling implement, having a mounting assembly at its forward end which is adapted to be mounted on a lifting mechanism (15, 21) at the rear of a tractor (20), a main frame (17) on which the assembly is mounted, a set of ground wheels for supporting the main frame (17) at a required level above the ground surface which is being traversed by the implement, and a set of soil working tools e.g. seed drills mounted on the frame (17) and arranged to work the soil at required depths below the soil surface; in which the mounting assembly is arranged to transfer part of the weight of the tractor from the fixed upper link (21) of the tractor to the implement main frame (17) so that a downward biasing force is applied to the seed drills with a view to maintaining a substantially constant drilling depth despite undulation in the ground surface; and in which the mounting assembly comprises a rigid front frame (3) secured to the main frame (17) and adapted to be pivotally connected at its lower end to the lower draft links (15) and having an adjustable top link (2) interconnecting its upper end (16) to the fixed upper link (21) whereby the ground wheels of the implement set the required working depth of the seed drills, and the link (2) is adjustable to vary the angle of the main frame (17) relative to the ground. Weight transfer from the tractor to the main frame (17) is achieved via a lever arm (1) connected to the fixed upper link (21), a toggle (9) mounted on pivot (28), an actuator rod (8) pivoted to the toggle (9) and a biasing means (6) which transfers the weight load applied to the rod (8) (when the toggle 9 is in the operative position) to an actuator arm (5) and thence to the main frame (17).
