Abstract:
In order to provide a structure for removable attachment to a substantially vertical surface for example of glass, glazed tiles or metal, the structure has a mounting means comprising: suction means (1) for sealingly contacting a surface, pulling means (2) being attached to the suction means (1) for drawing a part of the suction means (1) away from the surface, so that a partial vacuum is created between the suction means (1) and the surface. There is a substantially helical or wedge shaped surface on the pulling means (2) engaged with a corresponding substantially helical or wedge shaped surface of a rotatable member (13), whereby rotation of the rotatable member (13) draws the pulling means (2) and respective part of the suction means (1) away from the surface. An intermediate member (5) is provided for engaging a sealing part of the suction means (1), the intermediate member (5) supporting the rotatable member (13). The structure comprises a structural member (10) mounted in or on the intermediate member (5), so that the structural member (10) is not gripped by the intermediate member (5) or rotatable member (13). At least part of the rotatable member extends beyond a part of the intermediate member which is adjacent to the rotatable member. There is a friction reducing member (11) between the rotatable member and the intermediate member. A clip means, possibly also acting as a friction reducing member (11), can be provided for holding the structural member 18 temporarily in position on the intermediate member 5 during assembly.
Abstract:
A bathroom accessory mounting assembly and method of mounting are provided. The mounting assembly includes a mounting bracket, fastener, flange and post. The mounting bracket includes an axially extending body portion that receives the post. The mounting bracket includes a snap flange that cooperates with the post to secure the post to the mounting bracket.
Abstract:
A suction-adhesive device comprising a suction cup, a stem extending from the suction cup, and a body through which the stem extends. A spring interacts with the stem and the body for biasing the suction cup towards the body to apply suction. A coloured ring is fixed on the stem for indicating when the spring has drawn the suction cup towards the body.
Abstract:
A wall mountable assembly such as a wall mountable towel ring or the like includes a base part and an object support part extending from the base part. The base part is formed from a wall attachment member and a cover member which fits over the wall attachment member. The wall attachment member has an arm which extends through the cover member and which secures by a pivot connection to a cam member at the inner end of the object support part of the assembly. The object support part is swingable from a non-use to a use position relative to the base part to cause the cam member to move between a loose and a tight fitting with respect to the cover of the base part. The assembly further includes a locking member which releasably secures to the cam member and which blocks the cam member from moving away from the tight fitting holding all of the components of the assembly tightly secured to one another.
Abstract:
Apparatuses for dispensing fluid product, such as soap, hand sanitizer, lotion, etc. are provided. A reservoir carrier is configured to be interchangeably attached to one or more mounting brackets of a mounting bracket system to facilitate attachment of the fluid dispensing system to various structures. For example, at times the reservoir carrier may be paired with a hanging bracket to facilitate hanging a fluid dispensing system, including the reservoir carrier, on a bed rail. At other times, the hanging bracket may be swapped with a clamping bracket to facilitate clamping the fluid dispensing system to a counter or IV pole.
Abstract:
The invention provides a mounting system for a wall mounted acces-sory which includes a first component (12), which is attachable to a wall (13), having a spigot (30), and a second component (14), to which the accessory (16) is attached, which has a tubular element (20) and a clamping means (22) which projects into an interior of the tubular element, which has, at one end, a clamp head (46) and which is actuatable, when the tubular element is passed over the spigot (30) and the spigot (30) is located between the clamp head (46) of the clamping means and an inner wall (72) of the tubular member, to draw the clamp head (46) into abutment with the spigot to clamp the spigot between the clamp head and the inner wall.
Abstract:
A fastening device (10) for securing a bath accessory (12) to a wall (14) comprises a connection portion (16), a portion (18) for fastening said accessory to said connection portion (16), means (26, 36) for connecting the fastening portion (18) of the accessory to the connection portion (16). The connecting means is suitable to enable the relative positioning of said fastening portion (18) and said connection portion (16) at least at two relative positions that are angularly different with respect to an axis (X). The connection portion (16) comprises at least one protrusion (42) extending in a radial direction relative to said axis (X).
Abstract:
A universal unit is disclosed, for use singly or in pairs, to form a tile accessory system, such as for bathrooms. The universal unit has a back portion with a substantially flat front surface and a rear surface which is adapted for mounting on a wall. The universal unit has an upstanding projecting portion extending perpendicularly outward from the front surface. This projecting portion has two lateral and substantially parallel sides with at least one recess in one side for holding a separate accessory. The recess may be round, in which case the accessory may be a toilet tissue spindle, a towel bar or a grab bar, or it may be elongate in which case the accessory may be a shelf, a soap dish, a tumbler holder and/or toothbrush holder. Advantageously, the projecting portion has two recesses, one round and one elongate, so that a single universal unit may be manufactured, warehoused, sold and used for all of the above-mentioned purposes. The projecting portion and the back portion may be provided as separate pieces that are later joined upon installation, or during the manufacturing process, if desired.
