    Abstract: 医療用のバルーンカテーテルにおいてバルーンの接着や溶着等を不要とし、バルーンとシャフトの接合部の余分なプロファイルを無くし、より細径のノンプロファイルバルーンカテーテルを得、比較的簡単な構造で容易に製作できてコストの低減を図り、シャフトにPTFE、バルーンにシリコーンを用いることを可能とするものであり、シャフト素材からなる外側中空シャフト(2)の内部にバルーン素材からなる内側中空シャフト(3)を挿入し、外側中空シャフト(2)の先端部において内側中空シャフト(3)の先端部を突出させて二重チューブのカテーテルシャフト(1)を製作し、内側中空シャフト(3)の突出部分により膨縮可能なバルーン(5)を形成し、内側中空シャフト(3)の先端にはキャップ(4)を設け、外側中空シャフト(2)にはPTFE、内側中空シャフト(3)にはシリコーンを用いる。

    Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided are a device and method for manufacturing a device that are useful for folding a balloon predictably and compactly onto a catheter tube during balloon deflation, thereby to facilitate removal of the balloon catheter from a patient's body. CONSTITUTION: The device for folding a balloon(10) includes a band and a plurality of elongated fingers that are attached to the band. Each finger in the device has a first end and a second end, with the first end being attached to the band and the second end extending away from the band. The device has at least three such fingers. The band is formed with a tab and a notch and the length of the band corresponds with the diameter of the catheter tube(18). When the band is folded, the tab and notch are engaged with each other to form an annulus.
