Abstract:
A purification module is provided comprising a plurality of purification cartridges, a support for the cartridges, a manifold and a bowl. In one embodiment the support for the cartridges has two pitched partial screw threads on opposing surfaces which mate with pitched screw flights on the manifold when the partial screw threads are rotated into the screw flights. The support includes fluid passageways for directing filtered fluid from the filtration cartridges, through the support and into the manifold. In another embodiment, a purification module is provided comprising a purification cartridge, a manifold and a bowl. The purification cartridge has two pitched partial screw threads on opposing surfaces of the cartridge outlet which mate with screw flights on the manifold when the partial screw threads are rotated into the mating screw flights.
Abstract:
A backflushing filter for filtering oil includes filter candles 22 which are open at both ends 24, 34 and disposed around a rotary shaft 1 in a filter housing. A cleaning device is moved in conjunction with the rotary shaft and includes upper and lower flushing cocks communicating with an outflow valve via the shaft for cleaning the candles during a backflushing operation. The upper flushing cock 27 is offset by an angle in the direction of rotation in relation to the lower flushing cock 37. A lower closure element 38 moves in conjunction with the upper flushing cock at the opposite end of a filter candle(s) selected for backflushing. Likewise, an upper closure element is associated with the lower flushing cock. The candles can be reverse-flushed in opposite directions and at different times by the flushing cocks and closure elements. The flushing cocks and closure elements are moved inside annular deflection hoods 60, 70.

Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to a backflush filter, in particular for filtering lubricant oil. Filter candles (22) that are open at both ends (24, 34) are arranged in the filter housing (11, 12) around a rotating shaft (1). During filtration, the interior of said candles can be impinged upon by a heavy liquid which enters the backflush filter (10). The rotating shaft (1) entrains a cleaning device. To clean the filter candles (22') during the backflush process, said cleaning device has an upper flush cock (27) which is connected to a discharge valve via the rotating shaft (1) and a lower flush cock. The upper flush cock (27) is offset in the direction of rotation at an angle to the lower flush cock. An entrained, lower closing member (38) is assigned to the upper flush cock for closing the face of the filter candle end that lies opposite said cock and an upper closing member is assigned to the lower flush cock for closing the face of the filter candle end (23) that lies opposite said flush cock. The flush cocks and closing members allow the filter elements (22') to be backflushed in counter-current and in a time-delayed manner. The flush cocks and closing members are displaced within annular deflection hoods (60, 70).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a backflush filter device for the application of filter elements (22), which may be incorporated in a filter housing (10), comprising a filter inlet (18) and an outlet (20) for the liquid to be filtered. The filter elements (22) may permit flow in both directions for a filtration, or backflush and the one filter element (22) may be performing a filtration and, simultaneously, at least one other filter element (22) may be being backflushed, in order to clean the effective filtration surface thereof. In order to assist the backflushing, a vacuum device (42) is provided, which generates a vacuum at the filter element (22) to be backflushed, the efficacy of the ongoing backflush is, thus, increased, in order to be able to remove even the toughest contaminants. Furthermore, the cleaning process uses little energy and occurs in a defined manner, such that the backflush volumes may be both specified and minimised.
