Abstract:
A spray nozzle system includes separate air outlets to deliver one or more streams of supplemental warming or drying air. The air may be applied while spray is emitted from the nozzle to increase the spray cloud temperature, or may be applied for warming or drying before or after the spray application, with the spray turned off. In the case of air-atomizing nozzles, the air is delivered through low pressure ports separately from the atomizing or pattern shaping air to minimize the expansion cooling effect. In another implementation, the air is redirected from the nozzle using a control valve which proportions the amount of airflow directed for atomization, pattern shaping and drying.

PCT No. PCT/GB95/00275 Sec. 371 Date Jul. 30, 1996 Sec. 102(e) Date Jul. 30, 1996 PCT Filed Feb. 10, 1995 PCT Pub. No. WO95/22409 PCT Pub. Date Aug. 24, 1995An improved spray gun having an aluminum gun body and a sprayhead made of a plastics material, preferably of polybutylene terephthalate. The sprayhead is permanently secured to the spray gun body, preferably with a swaged ring of stainless steel. The spray gun may be provided with a plastic handle which is preferably formed from polybutylene with 10% of a polyester elastomer. In one embodiment, the sprayhead is oriented relative to the gun body prior to securing to select either gravity feed or suction feed for the sprayed fluid.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a spray gun apparatus (10) for spraying a fine film coating of liquid, such as paint, lacquer or bond, onto a surface. The spray gun comprises a main body (12) having a fluid throughbore (22), a gas throughbore (16), and a main trigger lever (80) for allowing a user to spray fluid from the gun. A fluid flow adjustment mechanism (52, 58, 74) facilitates adjustment of the quantity of fluid sprayed from the gun for a given displacement of the main trigger lever (80). An engagement surface (86) is provided on the trigger lever and adapted to engage with a corresponding engagement surface (90) of the fluid flow adjustment mechanism. Pivoting movement of the main trigger lever (80) results in translational movement of at least a portion of the fluid flow adjustment mechanism to thereby selectively spray fluid from the gun upon displacement of the main trigger lever.
Abstract:
A spray nozzle system for skin treatments includes separate air outlets moving over the skin surface to deliver one or more streams of supplemental air for the purpose of warming or drying the skin surface to improve efficacy and comfort of the spraying experience. The drying air from the auxiliary ports may be applied while spray is emitted from the nozzle to increase the spray cloud temperature, or may be applied before or after the spray application, with the spray turned off, to warm or dry the skin. A heating source is provided to warm the air directed through one or more supplemental air ports. In the case of air-atomizing nozzles, the supplemental air is delivered through low pressure ports separately from the air emitted through the nozzle's atomizing and pattern shaping orifices to minimize the expansion cooling effect inherent with the spray nozzle ports. In another implementation, the airflow is redirected from the nozzle jets to one or more of the supplemental ports using a control valve which proportions the amount of airflow directed to the main atomizer air jets, the pattern shaping air jets and the supplemental air for drying the skin.
Abstract:
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air spray hand gun by which a material to be coated is coated with a uniform film thickness even when the coating surface of the material to be coated is large or small and a coating material to be scattered and wasted is reduced. SOLUTION: The air spray hand gun is provided with a valve 18 opening and closing a spray port of a coating nozzle 8, a tube body 22 fitted to the valve 18 freely slidably and retreated by the pulling action of a trigger 6, an adjuster 38 screwed into a screw 36 formed at the rear end of the valve 18 adjustably of the extent of screwing, a 1st valve body 24 fixed to the tube body 22 and opening the spray port of the coating nozzle 8 by pressing the adjuster 38 after opening an atomizing air valve 10 by the retreat of the tube body 22, and a 2nd valve body 28 fitted to the tube body 22 in the front of the 1st valve body 24 freely slidably and opening a pattern air valve 12 by being engaged with a projection part 26 formed on the tube body 22 in the midst of the retreat of the tube body 22.
