    Abstract: The invention relates to portable hand-operated agricultural sprayer featuring two modular chemical containers for sequential use in the application of chemicals on agricultural crops or on weeds with application in agriculture. The sprayer is equipped with shoulder straps (3) for securing on operator's back and consists of two modular containers assembled to one another, respectively first container (1) for herbicide and second container (2) for herbicide neutralizer. On the openings of the containers (1, 2) there is a cap for herbicide (4) on which there are air valves (5, 8) and finned connectors (6, 9) to which are connected the first flexible hose for herbicide (10) and the second flexible hose for herbicide neutralizer (11) each of which is equipped with first valve (13) for herbicide and second valve (14) for herbicide neutralizer. Each of the valves (13, 14) is connected to a lug (15) and to the first tube (24) is attached second tube (25), the first tube (24) being connected via the first valve (13) to the first flexible hose for herbicide (10), and the second tube (25) being connected via the second valve (14) to the second flexible hose for herbicide neutralizer (11). At the ends of these tubes (14, 25) are located the first nozzle for herbicide (28) and the second nozzle for herbicide neutralizer (29) mounted on tubular housing (27); the diameter of the opening of each nozzle is between 0.5 and 1.2 mm, the nozzle length is between 18 and 32 mm, and the wall thickness is between 0.1 and 0.5 mm. The first modular container (1) is tightly fit to the second modular container (2) using wedged grooves (32) and protruding wedge ridges (33). The first valve for herbicide (13) and the second valve for herbicide neutralizer (14) are located within the housing (19) in which is installed the plunger (20) with spring (17) closed on top with mounting cap (18), the lower end of the plunger (20) being in contact with arm (21) on the lug (15) attached using hinge (23) to the trigger assembly (12). The first tube (24) and the second tube (25) are designed as telescopic tubes inside which by means of screw connectors (26) is installed telescopic tip (31) consisting of first telescopic tube (32) and second tube (31). At the end of the first telescopic tube (32) and the second telescopic tube (31) are located respectively the first nozzle (28) and the second nozzle (29). The telescopic tip (31) is extendable as needed to the desired length using the screw connector (26).

    Abstract: A preferred implementation of the invention is a spray gun extension apparatus comprising a stock and a handle. In a preferred implementation the handle is a twist-style throttle handle. The invention further comprises a trigger capable of activating a spray gun. In one embodiment the trigger is connected to the handle. In yet another embodiment the trigger is connected to the stock. A rod is connected to a first rod bearing and a second rod bearing. These rod bearings are commonly known as heim joints. Further disclosed herein is a method of using a throttle-style spray gun extension apparatus.

    Abstract: Methods for applying a treatment, such as colorant, to an installed landscaping material (such as wood chips or mulch), reducing the need to replace worn or weathered material. The methods include applying a pre-treatment to protect elements proximate the landscape material that are not to be treated, applying a treatment liquid to the landscaping material by spraying, and then rinsing any elements proximate the landscape material that may have be inadvertently and undesirably treated. Also described is a sprayer apparatus for applying treatment liquid to a landscaping material. The sprayer apparatus includes first and second spray outlets and an agitator therebetween. In use, the landscape material to be treated is first sprayed, the material is agitated (e.g., turned), and a second spray of treatment liquid is applied to the landscape material.

    Abstract: A liquid herbicide applicator includes a length adjustable handle member and a reservoir removably coupled to the handle member, the reservoir defining an inlet for receiving a liquid and an outlet from which to dispense liquid. The applicator includes a valve assembly coupled to the reservoir outlet operative between an open configuration that allows the liquid to flow through the outlet and a closed configuration that prevents the liquid from flowing through the outlet. The valve assembly is biased toward the closed configuration. A dispenser assembly having a cap portion is operatively coupled to the valve assembly and includes an application portion connected to the cap portion, the cap portion being selectively movable closer to the valve assembly so as to urge the valve assembly to the open configuration and away from the valve assembly so to allow the valve assembly to return to the closed configuration.
