Abstract:
The powder lubricant for plunger device of this invention is a mixture of a powdered or granulated lubricant base material used for a lubricant in a solid form, with an organic compound giving an adhesion ability to the lubricant base material. The most outstanding feature of this invention is that the lubricant base material has the powdered or granulated form. Effect of this invention are that occurrence of defects inside products can be positively avoided, dangers such as fire etc. and environmental pollution can be prevented, and sliding of plunger can be made smooth to improve the workability.
Abstract:
Thin impermeable, surface hardened, corrosion-resistant, durable, dry lubricant surface finishes are provided as well as surface finished products and methods for the production thereof. The surface finishes comprise particulate mixtures of sulfur containing metallic compounds and fluorocarbon polymers and are applied to surfaces of substrates such as metallic surfaces.
Abstract:
A process for drawing wire employing a lubricant comprising perfluorocarbon compounds (PFCs), including aliphatic perfluorocarbon compounds ( alpha -PFCs) having the general formula CnF2n+2, perfluoromorpholines having the general formula CnF2n+1ON, perfluoroamines (PFAs) and highly fluorinated amines (HFAs), and perfluoroethers (PFEs). Such fully and highly fluorinated carbon compounds exhibit a very high degree of thermal and chemical stability due to the strength of the carbon-fluorine bond. Further, because the compounds are fully fluorinated, and therefore do not contain chlorine and bromine, they have zero ozone depletion potential (ODP). Further, because the compounds are photochemically non-reactive in the atmosphere, they are not precursors to photochemical smog and are exempt from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) volatile organic compound (VOC) definition. Further, because they are volatile, the compounds are easily removed at the end of the process without need for an additional cleaning step. The process provides wire at significantly higher production speeds and longer die life with improved quality and less byproduct debris.

Abstract:
A mandrel lubricant for use in the manufacture of seamless tubes is described, which mandrel lubricant is composed of graphite, clay minerals from the class of smectites, a polysaccharide and, if required, a surfactant. The mandrel lubricant is applied in the form of an aqueous dispersion to mandrels which have passed through the cooling bath.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding bearing having performance equal to or more than that of a rolling bearing, the rolling bearing used for a scroll compressor loaded on an automobile being replaced by the sliding bearing.SOLUTION: In this sliding bearing, a sliding layer is formed by burning on a back metal thereof. The sliding layer is made of 5-60 wt.% graphite, average radius of which is 5-50 μm, degree of graphitization of which is 0.6 or more, in which an average shape coefficient (Y) defined as in the following of particles except fine particles each having a radius of 0.5 times or less of the average radius is 1-4, and which includes particles having a shape coefficient (Y) within a range (Y)=1-1.5 at 70% or more in the ratio of the number, and polyimide resin and/or polyamideimide resin as residues.

Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-bearing member protecting agent which can achieve a sufficient protecting effect on the surface of an image-bearing member, prevention of filming on the image-bearing member, and prevention of smearing on a charging member, and to provide a protective layer forming device which can form an excellent protective layer for image-bearing member using the image-bearing member protecting agent. SOLUTION: The image-bearing member protecting agent to be used for an image forming method or an image forming apparatus including an image-bearing member 1 and a step or a device 2 for applying or adhering the image-bearing member protecting agent 21 to the surface of the image-bearing member, includes at least: a hydrophobic organic compound (A); an inorganic lubricant (B); and inorganic fine particles (C), wherein each of the inorganic fine particles (C) has a specific surface area of 2.0 to 6.5 m 2 /g. The protective layer forming device 2 includes at least an image-bearing member protecting agent 21 and a protecting agent supply member 22, and supplies the image-bearing member protecting agent 21 to the surface of the image-bearing member 1 via the protecting agent supply member 22.
