Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a wire rope having a blackened finish designed for theatrical productions. The wire rope includes a plurality of strands that have a closed spiral arrangement with each other and are compacted. Each strand includes a center wire spirally surrounded by a plurality of inner wires that are spirally surrounded by a plurality of outer wires so that the outer wires completely encompass the inner wires. The center wire and the inner wires are made from a galvanized material and coated with a lubricant. The outer wires are made from a non-coated steel material. Each strand is compacted so the outer wires create a tight mechanical seal to protect the inner wires. The blackened finish on the wire rope is due to a black oxide coating treatment and provides for low visibility of the wire rope during theatrical performances.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a code in which the infiltration property of a rubber especially in the reinforcing cord of rubber goods is improved by making the rubber stably coat a wire which composes the code. SOLUTION: When a metal wire is led to an extruder and coextruded with the rubber from the mouthpiece of the extruder, and thereby the metal wire is coated with the rubber, a plurality of metal wires are made parallel in the mouthpiece and coextruded with the rubber. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber-coated steel cord by surely filling unvulcanized rubber by a simple treatment in the gaps at stranded parts of a plurality of wires to surely bond the unvulcanized rubber to the wires. SOLUTION: The rubber-coated steel cord is obtained by the following practice: A plurality of wires 12 are fed from the revolving barrel 24 of a tubular-type strander 21 and passed through an atmosphere filled with the unvulcanized rubber under pressure inside an extruder 50, and stranded at specified pitches through synchronizing the advancing speed of the wires 12 with the revolving speed of the barrel 24, thereby filling the unvulcanized rubber in the stranded parts of the plurality of wires 12. The steel cords 10 thus produced are fed together with a plurality of other wires 12 to a rubber ribbon production machine 80 where the rubber ribbons 100 are produced. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem on a conventional manufacturing method that it is difficult to manufacture a small-diameter metal hollow body using a metal hard of plastic machining and it may be impossible to manufacture it because higher manufacturing cost is needed with a smaller diameter. SOLUTION: A plurality of metal wires are machined into a stranded wire assembly with the adjacent metal wires being in contact with each other at their planar contact portions and integrated by supplying bonding means from the outside of the assembly. 종래의 제조방법으로써 소성가공이 어려운 가는직경의 금속중공체를 제조하는 것은 어려웠다. 직경이 가늘수록, 제조비용은 높아지고, 경우에 따라서는 제조가 불가능하였다. 본원발명은, 복수개의 금속와이어를 꼬인선 집합체로 가공하고, 인접하는 금속와이어끼리를 평면형상의 접촉부분에서 접촉시키며, 집합체는 외측으로부터 접착수단을 공급하는 것에 의해 일체화되고, 내경이 균일하고 내면이 청정한 금속중공체를 제조할 수 있다.
