A steel cord-rubber composite is provided, that has improved initial adhesion property and adhesion property against aging between the steel cord and the rubber composition with improved manufacturing cost efficiency. A steel cord-rubber composition composite includes a coating layer and a steel cord, and the coating layer includes an inner coating layer formed of a rubber composition containing a rubber component, a cobalt compound and sulfur and directly covering the steel cord, and an outer coating layer formed of a rubber composition of which contents of cobalt compound and sulfur are smaller than those of the inner coating layer and coating the outer portion of the inner coating layer.
Abstract:
A prestressing steel material for use with concrete that is prestressed by posttensioning is disclosed. Said steel material is unbonded from the concrete. The prestressing steel material is composed of a steel member sheathed with a foamed synthetic resin tube. The wall thickness of the synthetic resin tube is at least 300 microns, more preferably, more than 500 microns. In the case that the steel member is a strand composed of a plurality of twisted steel wires, the spiral grooves of the strand are first filled with a resin and the strand together with the resin sheathed with the foamed synthetic resin tube.
Abstract:
A method for fabricating a steel wire cable having a Zn—Al alloy plating, the method including: arranging steel wires according to an arrangement rule at a cross section of the steel wire cable; controlling a length of the overall cable by a length of a central standard wire; twisting a bunch of the steel wires comprising a zinc-aluminum alloy plating with a torsion angle of between 2° and 4°; wrapping the steel wire bunch with a polyester wrapping bandage and covering a resulting product with a double-layered protective polyethylene sheath; anchoring the two ends of the steel wire cable by anchors using fillers; and coiling the finished-product of the steel wire cables.

Composite reinforcer (R-2) self-adhesive, by curing, to a diene rubber matrix, which can be used as reinforcing element for a tire, comprising: one or more reinforcing thread(s) (20), for example a carbon steel cord; a first layer (21) of a thermoplastic polymer, the glass transition temperature of which is positive, for example, a polyamide 6,6, covering individually said thread or each thread or collectively several threads; a second layer (22) comprising a functionalized diene elastomer bearing functional groups selected from epoxide, carboxyl, acid anhydride and acid ester groups, for example, an epoxidized natural rubber, covering the first layer (21). Process for manufacturing such a composite reinforcer and rubber article or semi-finished product, especially a tire, incorporating such a composite reinforcer.
Abstract:
An elongated steel element adapted for the reinforcement of rubber products is covered with a ternary alloy or quaternary alloy coating of copper-M-zinc. M is one or two metals selected out of the group consisting of cobalt, nickel, tin, indium, manganese, iron, bismuth and molybdenum. The copper content inside the coating ranges from 58 weight percent to 75 weight percent. The content of the one or two metals inside said coating ranges from 0.5 weight percent to 10 weight percent. The remainder is zinc and unavoidable impurities. The one or two metals are present throughout the coating. Phosphorus is present on and/or in the coating in an amount of more than 1 and less than 4 milligram per square meter of the coating. The coating further comprises one or, ore compounds which complex with the copper in the coating to form an insoluble film on its surface. Good results are obtained for steam ageing and cured humidity adhesion. Furthermore, a corresponding method for manufacturing such an elongated steel element is disclosed.
