Abstract:
The disclosed technology relates to a vacuum pipe connecting member and provides a vacuum pipe connecting member for detecting in real time a gas leak from a pipe connection between vacuum pipes. In one aspect, the vacuum pipe connecting member is provided to include: a clamp for connecting a vacuum pipe to another vacuum pipe or to a semiconductor manufacturing apparatus; and a reactant that is provided in the clamp and is chemically reactive to a gas leaking from the pipe connection.
Abstract:
A piping connection device includes a female block member fixed integrally with a male block member, and a first pipe is inserted into the female block member. The piping connection device further includes a drain passage through which a part of an outer peripheral surface of the first pipe communicates with an outer surface of the female block member. The drain passage is disposed in a portion higher in heat capacity than the other portions in the female block member.
Abstract:
Underground drilling operation often requires connecting a drill tool (e.g., drill bit, backreamer, etc.) to a drill string. It is desirable to connect the drill tools to a drill string in a manner that facilitates quick and easy assembly and disassembly. Low torque coupling, commonly referred to as “torque-less” connection, can provide such functionality. The useful life and strength of such connections can be improved upon. The present disclosure provides a low torque coupling with improved strength and durability.
Abstract:
A hydraulic coupler (100) includes a first coupling (102) and the second coupling (106) and further includes a fluid cavity (144) defined in a second support (108) for the second coupling (106) configured to eject fluid and clean at least one of the first coupling (102) and the second coupling (106) as the first coupling (102) and the second coupling (106) are mutually engaged.
Abstract:
A urea feed or return line (2) that comprises a hollow coupling (1) enabling it to be connected to a urea tank and that comprises a passage for the urea, this coupling being, in addition, equipped with a heating filament (9), at least one part of which extends freely inside the passage provided for the urea, this part having the shape of a loop or a spiral capable of also extending at least partly into the tank and/or into a tube attached thereto.
Abstract:
A drill pipe connector assembly capable of connecting drill pipe segments without rotation. The assembly includes the pin end of a first drill pipe stabbed within the connector end of a second drill pipe. A connector nut is threadedly connected or snap locked to the connector end of the second drill pipe. The connector nut includes a retaining shoulder cooperating with a beveled shoulder on the pin end of the first drill pipe to retain the first drill pipe. The assembly includes seals to provide pressure integrity and prevent leaking. Cooperating rotational torque transfer profiles in the first and second drill pipes enable operational rotation of the drill string.

Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a method and apparatus for providing a bulkhead fitting assembly useful for aircraft, watercraft, spacecraft, architectural, or industrial applications. The assembly provides a mechanical barrier against fluid transfer from a wet side to a dry side of a bulkhead and allows electrical conduction through or from the bulkhead. The assembly includes a thermal shell for reducing heat transfer from a tube to the bulkhead.
Abstract:
There is provided a breech lock coupling for coupling riser sections together. The breech lock coupling may be used non-pre-loaded or pre-loaded according to the user's preferences. In addition, the breech lock coupling may be disassembled for inspection and maintenance and reassembled. A locking ring secures two coupling components together. The coupling components may be attached to opposite ends of the riser sections, such as via welding. The locking ring may be pre-attached to the first coupling component for easy storage and fast assembly. Assembly of the riser may be accomplished by inserting the second coupling component into the locking ring and the first coupling component, then rotating the locking ring with respect to the second component. Furthermore, the coupling may be pre-loaded by tightening fasteners on the locking ring to provide a more stable coupling. Unlike with traditional riser couplings, the pre-load fasteners may be tightened via hand-held tools.
