An insulating vacuum panel comprising a microporous, open cell silica foam or a precipitated silica insulating support member enclosed within a sealed, flexible polymeric envelope, the envelope comprising a heat-sealable barrier film comprising a multiple layer laminate containing at least one polyethylene terephthalate layer and at least two barrier layers selected from the group consisting of polyvinylidene chloride, polyvinyl alcohol, polyamide, polyolefin and aluminum foil, or a biaxially oriented liquid crystal barrier film which minimizes permeation of gas and liquid through the barrier film, the panel having an R value per inch of at least about 20 wherein the enclosed insulated vacuum panel is useful as insulation to maintain an essentially constant temperature in a closed structure, a system for storing and transporting temperature-sensitive materials wherein the insulated vacuum panels are employed to provide and maintain a constant temperature in the system, a method for manufacturing the insulating vacuum panel, and a system for storing and transporting temperature-sensitive materials are described.

An insulated cabinet includes an outer plate, an inner plate, a vacuum insulation panel and a limiting member. The outer plate constitutes an outer box. The inner plate constitutes an inner box disposed inside the outer box and forming a storage compartment surrounded by the inner box. The vacuum insulation panel is interposed between the outer plate and the inner plate and formed by decompressing an interior of an enclosure with a core material being enclosed in the enclosure and by sealing an open end of the enclosure. The limiting member which limits invasion of a fluid from the sealed part of the enclosure of the vacuum insulation panel into the enclosure.

The invention relates to a refrigeration device, in particular a domestic refrigeration device, comprising at least a delimiting wall (7) for delimiting a hollow space of a body (1) defining the cooling chamber (5), said hollow space being filled with a thermally insulating foam (7), and/or for delimiting a device door closing the cooling chamber (5). According to the invention, the delimiting wall (7) comprises a plastic support (19) having at least one diffusion barrier layer (17) which at least substantially prevents the diffusion of water vapour and/or gases.

PURPOSE: A refrigerator with a vacuum space is provided to form a vacuum space between an inner case and an outer case and to suppress heat transfer between the inner case and the outer case by the vacuum space to improve the insulation efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises a main body. The main body comprises an inner case(110), an outer case(120), a vacuum space(130), and radiation shields(210,220). A storage space is formed inside the inner case. The inner surface of the outer case is arranged to be separated from the outer surface of the inner case in a predetermined interval. The vacuum space is equipped between the inner case and the outer case and performs insulation effect between the inner case and the outer case by maintaining a vacuum condition. The radiation shield is arranged to be separated from the inner case and the outer case and reduce the transfer of radiation heat through the vacuum space.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulation cabinet having a vacuum insulation panel used for a heat insulation wall, in which deterioration of the vacuum insulation panel can be prevented as far as possible and durability is improved.SOLUTION: The heat insulation cabinet includes a heat insulation wall constituted by arranging a vacuum insulation panel between an outer plate forming an outer box and an inner plate forming an inner box, wherein an inner space enclosed by the inner box is made a storage chamber. The vacuum insulation panel is constituted by accommodating a core material in a bag body, reducing the inner pressure of the bag, and tightly sealing the open end of the bag body. A restriction member is disposed, which restricts intrusion of a fluid into the bag body through the tightly sealed part of the bag body in the vacuum insulation panel.
