    Abstract: A measuring system (1) for measuring dimensions of an article (1') such as a bottle has two opposed measuring heads (5, 6) each having a measuring probe (28, 29), a contact identifying trigger operated by the probe, a base (3) upon which the article to be measured stands and first (19, 20) and second (12) stepper motor means.     Abstract: The dial gauge consists of a one-piece moulding (1) shaped into two mutually movable flexible legs (2, 3). One leg (2) is shorter and the longer leg (3) wraps around it.
