Abstract:
Methods and systems for boosting battery output comprising a supercapacitor that is connected in series with a voltage source in series with a load are disclosed The supercapacitor may be charged to a regulated and monitored voltage via a booster circuit The methods and systems are usefully applied to high pulse draw applications, such as cell phones or camera flash lamps, or to supplement battery voltage under adverse conditions, such as a vehicle battery applied to start a motor in cold temperatures.
Abstract:
Generally described, aspects of the disclosed subject matter are directed to portable gaming, entertainment, and media cases. The case generally includes an enclosure having a base and a lid hingedly coupled to the base. The lid includes a video display and is pivotable between an open position, such that the display is viewable, and a closed position. The enclosure includes a retaining bracket to form a console chamber partially surrounding and retain a gaming, media, or other console. The case includes one or more interface panels with communication ports accessible with the lid in the open position. The enclosure may be configured to maintain electrical communication between the first interface panel and the video display while the lid pivots between the open and closed positions. The enclosure may include a power supply for providing electrical power to at least one of the video display, the interface panels, and the console.
Abstract:
There is disclosed an evaporable getter device particularly suitable for being used in tubes for the projection of images on wide screen; the device (10), being ring-shaped, comprises a container (11) of powders (12) of barium or calcium compounds, formed of a bottom wall (22) connected to an external wall (20) and an internal wall (21), both sloping or curved towards the outside in their upper portion, to obtain a distribution of barium or calcium vapours compatible with the application.
