Abstract:
An oil-soluble reaction product of phosphorus-, low molecular weight basic nitrogen-, and optional boron-containing compounds is provided. This reaction product can solubilize significantly more phosphorus and boron per weight of compound than other known compounds and is used as an antiwear, antioxidant, and extreme pressure additive in lubrication oils.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means enabling a highly accurate and highly effective processing aiming at elongation of lifetime of a cutting tool. SOLUTION: The cutting oil for a cutting tool coated with a hard carbon thin film contains a fatty acid ester-based ash-free friction controlling agent and/or an aliphatic amine-based ash-free friction controlling agent. Amount of a hydrogen atom contained in a thin hard carbon film 3 covering the whole surface of a cutting edge 2 of a drill 1, which is a cutting tool coated with a hard carbon thin film to be used for a cutting work in the presence of the cutting oil for a cutting tool coated with a hard carbon thin film, is not more than 1 atom%. (a) 10-90% graphite, (b) 2-60% polymer or copolymer of an ethylenically unsaturated compound, (c) 0À2-8% dispersion or suspension agent, (d) 0-40% film stabilizer. The unsaturated monomers may be vinyl esters, allyl esters, mono- or diolefins, acrylic acid or esters thereof, styrene or unsaturated dicarboxylic acid esters. The dispersion or suspension agent (c) may be a polysaccharide, an alkyl cellulose, or an alginate. The film stabilizer (d) may be a sodium silicate, boron oxide, a phosphate, silicic acid or a mixture thereof. Polymers used in the examples are a vinylacetate-dibutyl maleate copolymer, polyisobutylene, acrylic acid-styrene copolymer, ethylene - vinylacetate copolymer and polyvinylacetate.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of calcium complex lubricating grease compositions and calcium sulfonate complex lubricating grease compositions as lubricants for wire ropes. The invention further relates to a method for producing the wire ropes and to wire ropes provided with the lubricating grease composition.
