Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic amorphous aluminum-coupled silicate having low grindability and high cleanability, and further having transparency when used as a silica base for transparent toothpaste, wherein the storage stability of the transparency is excellent, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a synthetic amorphous aluminum-coupled silicate in which the content of aluminum obtained by reacting a water soluble alkali metal silicate, a water soluble aluminum salt and mineral acid as essential raw materials in the presence of the mineral acid salt electrolyte of water soluble alkali metal lies in the range of 0.5 to 7.5 mass% to SiO 2 expressed in terms of Al 2 O 3 , 5 mass% slurry pH is 8.0 to 10.0, pore sizes are 1.85 to 2.10 nm, and also, the content of an OH group is 2.0 to 3.5 mass% with respect to SiO 2 . PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a silver-plated product having a silver-plated layer with excellent adhesiveness being deposited on a surface of a base material. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the silver-plated product for depositing a silver-plated layer on a surface of a base material, the surface of the base material is subjected to the coating of or immersion in a stannous ion containing aqueous solution, a silver salt containing aqueous solution, and a reducing agent containing aqueous solution in this order, and the silver-plated layer is deposited thereon by a silver mirror reaction. According to the manufacturing method, the silver-plated layer deposited on the surface of the base material can obtain the silver-plated product of excellent adhesiveness. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ceria-zirconia solid solution sol which has a high promotor function and a high dispersion property and is excellent in a uniform mixing property with the catalyst of a noble metal or the like as a catalyst for cleaning an automobile exhaust gas. SOLUTION: The ceria-zirconia solid solution sol has an average particle diameter of 5-100 nm, measured by a dynamic light scattering method. The ceria-zirconia solid solution sol is produced by cleaning a ceria-zirconia gel, obtained by coprecipitating the aqueous solution of a mixed salt comprising a water-soluble cerium salt and a water-soluble zirconium salt with a base, until the electrical conductivity of a used cleaning solution becomes ≤50 mS/m and then deflocculating the cleaned gel by using hydrochloric acid or nitric acid of an amount of 0.2-2.0 times (molar ratio) of the total moles of Ce and Zr. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sterilizing storage solution for a contact lens which has superior sterilizing effect and superior safety to the eye, and is suitably used for especially a water-containing contact lens. SOLUTION: The sterilizing storage solution for the contact lens is characterized by containing ε-polylysine, an organic cationic compound, and lactic acid in an aqueous medium. Alternatively the sterilizing storage solution for the contact lens characterized by containing ε-polylysine, an organic cationic acid, lactic acid, and further inositol or glycerol in the aqueous medium. The amount of such a sterilizing storage solution for the contact lens is greatly reduced to low by preparing an environment where antibacterial activity of ε-polylysine as an antibacterial (sterilizing) component can be exhibited to the utmost and the safety of the sterilizing storage solution for the contact lens is therefore further improved.
