A method of selecting cancer patients for treatment using HDACI comprises the step of selecting cancer patients who were assayed positive for elevated E2F1 activity.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stimulus-responsive biodegradable polymer which is useful for biological applications including delivery of a bioactive agent and changes its physical/chemical characteristics in response to small external change in an environmental parameter.
    SOLUTION: The stimulus-responsive polymer comprises a biodegradable polymer backbone and a stimulus-responsive pendant group attached to the biodegradable polymer backbone. The biodegradable polymer backbone is poly(amino ester) or poly(amide amine) which may optionally comprise a disulfide bond in the backbone.
