Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a length of electric connection undesirable for a high speed signal. SOLUTION: This connector has a control part for controlling read/write operation of a chip card 20 and a read frame for the chip card 20 having a first form receiving contact terminal 3 protruded from a support upper surface 4 for coming into electric contact with a contact region 5 of the chip card 20. An insulation support 2 has a lower surface 6 arranged in a plane in a lower side, on the one hand, protruding a second form contact terminal 7 so as to come into electric contact with a contact region 8 of the control part 1 for controlling read/write operation of the chip card 20, on the other hand, protruding a leg part 9 having a leg height (h) partitioning a space between the insulation support 2 and a printed circuit 15 so as to receive the control part 1 between the insulation support 2 and the printed circuit 15 for connection onto the printed circuit 15.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wedge connector having the capability of ensuring the proper engagement of an electric conductor with of a simple configuration. SOLUTION: This electric connector is used for connecting an electric conductor, and has an approximately C-shaped sleeve 12 and a wedge 14. Also, the sleeve 12 has a center part 20 with a lengthwise indentation 28 formed on the internal surface thereof and a principal engagement shelf part 32 formed at the rear end of the indentation 28. In addition, the sleeve 12 has temporary engagement shelf parts 72 and 74 laid on the rear part thereof. The wedge 14 is formed out of a long thin sheet metal member folded at least twice in the lengthwise direction thereof so as to form a wedge having two adjacent loop parts 34 and 36. Also, the side edge of the sheet metal member is formed to have a plurality of catching shelf parts 60 to be coupled to the engagement shelf part 32 on the sleeve 12 for preventing the separation of the wedge 14 therefrom.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To effectively assemble an electric connector by inclining each contact at an angle within the specific range to a carry strip and removing the carry strip from contacts after the contacts are inserted in one of rows of accepting holes. CONSTITUTION: A metallic seat is cut as shown in the Fig., and two or more half-finished parts 14' of contacts connected with a carry strip 72 by a connected arm are formed. In that case, a connected arm 74 is relatively inclined or bent at an angle of J to the carry strip 72. The angle is 20 deg.-70 deg., and a central axis of a contact 14 is formed in parallel to the surface of the strip 72. Since the contact 14 is installed in the strip 72, a row of the contacts is lined up along a row of holes A-E in the lower surface 18 of a housing. And, an electrical connector which has a distance between rows of the contacts half the size of conventional one in axial line can be manufactured, and a lot of contacts can be installed in the housing.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To make a cover is openable to be closed, only after all of contacts are completely inserted by forming an lock member in the face in the contact side of the cover. CONSTITUTION: In the state that a contact 1 is inserted only to a middle and that a parallel face 22 inhibits the movement of a projected part 79 of a cover 77, the cover 77 is projected out of a module main body from a part of a hinge 76 as illustrated in the figure (a), so that the module cannot be inserted further deeper with respect to a casing 9. After that, a projected part 80 is brought into contact with an upper end part of a wall 93 of the casing as illustrated in the figure (b), and the hinge 76 is deformed elastically. In this case, since the projected part 79 is brought into contact with the head part of the contact, the cover 77 cannot be pushed to the inside of the outer wall 94 of the casing 9. Consequently, since the cover 77 is common with respect to all of the contacts, the cover 77 is not completely closed, unless all of the contacts have been completely inserted just like the contact 1, as illustrated in the figure (c).

The extension part 18 is thereby attached to the housing 1, and achieves a fixing position as a hindering element in rear of spring elements 19, 20 to be engaged with a recessed part 24 of a generator 29. Reverse turning can be thereby prevented.
